The main peak of Zhongshan National Forest Park is 391 meters above sea level, and the main peaks in the park include Jinzhong Mountain, Erjian Mountain, Da Jian Mountain, Dadu Ridge, etc., which are good places for hiking in Zhongshan. 2、Wu Gui Mountain

Wu Gui Mountain is the highest peak in Zhongshan City, and “Wu Gui Xiong Feng” is the highest peak in the Pearl River Estuary. It is also one of the ten scenic spots in Zhongshan. The main peak of Wu Gui Mountain is about 531 meters above sea level. The mountains and hills here are undulating, surrounded by green trees all the way, and the scenery is very beautiful. There are large and small gardens, strange rocks, strange birds and animals, flowing springs and waterfalls, the scenery is very beautiful, and there are a variety of plants and animals. The mountain trails along the way are all cement roads, not too difficult to walk. It takes less than two hours to reach the top, stopping and going. There is a rich mountain forest landscape here, with exotic flowers and plants constantly, full of vitality. The best time to hike is autumn and winter, especially in December, the early winter. The metasequoia in the Longjiang Reservoir in the belly of Wu Gui Mountain turns red, comparable to Jiuzhai, which is a good place for photography.

The Da Jian Mountain Range is located in the southeast of Shiqi District, with the main peak Da Jian Mountain at 391 meters above sea level. There are two recommended hiking routes in Da Jian Mountain: one starts from Shigu Beikengkou, which is wider and steeper, with stone steps. The other road is located on the southeast side of the mountain. The flat yellow sand road stretches out into the distance, facing the mountain on one side and the valley on the other. There may be some small paths along the way, mostly overgrown with weeds, rarely visited by humans, suitable for experienced hikers.

4、Tianxin Forest Park

Tianxin Forest Park is located at the foot of the main peak of Wu Gui Mountain. The park is divided into plant science popularization and sightseeing, ecological conservation, fitness hiking and other areas. There are hiking trails built along the mountain, and there are also Hundred Flower Garden, Cherry Blossom Garden, Azalea Garden, Lotus Pond Moonlit Night, Rainbow Bridge, Children’s Paradise, Wooden Plank Road and other more than 10 attractions. Tianxin Forest Park is a good place to hike in Zhongshan. A friendly reminder that the hiking trails in Tianxin Park are built on the hillside. The paths here are relatively rugged, with many steep slopes and large slopes. It takes about 3 hours to walk along the hiking trails on the mountainside. It takes about an hour and a half to walk around the mountain in the arboretum. 6、Li Tou Jian Mountain

Li Tou Jian Mountain is close to Cuiheng Village, east of the Pearl River Estuary. It is named after its shape like a plowshare, and it is the highest peak in Cuiheng, Nanlang. Bougainvillea are planted along the mountain path, and the flowers bloom in spring, dyeing the hillside pink. There is an observation deck on the mountain. The flower field plank road below the observation deck is planted with rhododendrons and purple jade orchids. Now is the season of flowers, and pink flowers on the branches are waiting for people to come and admire. The location of the observation deck is very good, overlooking the scenery in the distance – the buildings of Zhongshan City are close at hand, and in the distance are a newly renovated Nanyang arcade, as well as paddy fields and fish ponds.

There is also a Sun family cemetery on Li Tou Jian Mountain, with stone steps leading to it. Sun Jingxian, Sun Dacheng, Sun Mei, Sun Chang and other descendants of Sun Yat-sen are buried there. Among them, the tomb of Sun Jingxian is located on the northeast side of Li Tou Jian Mountain. There is a field called “Emperor’s Field” below, built in the Qing Dynasty.

As you go in from the Jianzhong Orchard entrance, you’ll see pineapples planted all over the mountains. Ya Ji Mountain is famous for producing Shenwan pineapples, and it is truly a “Pineapple Mountain”. Tourists can go to the mountain ridge at 318 meters above sea level to pick pineapples themselves.
