I have always been looking forward to this place. I wanted to see how different the legendary Lijiang really is. I went there during the Qingming Festival this year, of course, with my boyfriend. I think it will be a memorable experience to go to this romantic place with the one you love. I always want to leave traces of our love.
As soon as I got off the plane, I felt the difference from the northwest. I lived in Xi’an for seven years, and there are mountains everywhere in Lijiang. The clouds are very low and clearly visible. The biggest feeling I have when I come here is that you should not believe the weather forecast, because it is really inaccurate. We came to the outside of the ancient city, and we instantly fell in love with this place. There are many guesthouses, large and small, with unique characteristics. They have the ancient style of a water town, and also the lazy atmosphere of a metropolis. We stayed here. The boss was very enthusiastic, we ate the local specialty of local chicken hotpot. The biggest feeling I have here is that it is comfortable. Many guesthouse owners raise a big dog. It becomes a pleasure to play with them.
Unlike the laziness of the daytime, life at night is more liberating. Wandering in the ancient city, there is food, there is music, there are dazzling ornaments, and there are bars with different styles. You will have a different experience no matter which one you walk into. Whether it is a quiet bar or a noisy one, you feel like all your unhappiness and worries are left behind. You only want to feel the joys and sorrows of the moment. Or you can be so noisy that you forget yourself, or you can be quiet enough to hear your own heartbeat. Everything and the people coming and going, the stories on each person are told in the night. Nothing can’t be solved with two glasses of wine. You can drink until you’re drunk and then sleep until you wake up naturally. Here you don’t have to worry so much. It’s completely a relaxation of the soul. My boyfriend and I talked a lot, I love this place, I love the feeling of the moment.
