Entering the ring road, the beautiful scenery greeted me before long. It rained the night before in Danjiangkou, and there was fog in the morning. But the scenery was still very beautiful. It is truly worthy of being called the largest man-made freshwater lake in Asia. Beautiful scenery can be seen everywhere, with blue skies and clear water, making people feel relaxed and happy. A small boat was quietly moored in the lake.
The ring road is still under repair, and the repaired section is not very long. So, you will often see engineering vehicles and signs of road repairs along the way.
When I reached this section of the road, the repaired section came to an end. The road to the left in the picture leads to a village. Going further into the village is a leisure resort area, also known as the Thousand Islands Lake by local people.
Which Section of the Danjiangkou Reservoir Ring Road Is the Most Beautiful?
From the highest point in this resort area, you can see part of the panoramic view of the Thousand Islands Lake. The scenery is magnificent, but the fog was thick at that time, so the photo effect was not ideal.
The most beautiful section on this ring road is at the beginning of the reservoir. Because of the repairs, it did have some impact on the mood, but it has to be said that the beauty of the Thousand Islands Lake at the end still gave people a sense of amazement. It is very interesting, and the beauty here is like an ink painting, which also shows the beautiful air here.
Ring Road Self-driving Tour Route:
Starting point: Danjiang Village → From the starting point, drive 510 meters to the northwest and turn right → drive 9.7 kilometers, towards Xihang direction, turn left onto Hubeline → drive 72.1 kilometers along Hubeline Expressway, towards Xiangyang/Yichang/G59/G70 direction, slightly left turn onto the ramp → drive 840 meters along Checheng Avenue, turn left onto Zhongsheng Road → drive 13.1 kilometers along Xiliu Road, turn right-front → drive 750 meters, arrive at the destination (on the left side of the road) →
