China’s Snow Town is one of the most beautiful snow scenes in China. If you want to experience beautiful snow scenery, Snow Town must be your first choice. Snow Town is located in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang, where you can find fairy tale-like snow scenes. The crystal clear and pure white world is very dreamy. Snow Charm Street

Snow Charm Street is the only pedestrian street in Snow Town Scenic Area. It is over 900 meters long from north to south, with shops lining both sides. The shops are full of goods, and the architectural style is full of Northeast cultural characteristics. This street was originally the small train station of the original Shuangfeng Forest Farm, connecting multiple highways to Harbin, Yabuli, Mudanjiang and other places. Therefore, it is described as “one street, three forks, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with little wind. One river, three creeks, with mountains and rivers as the residence.” The northernmost end of Snow Charm Street is the iconic stone stele “China Snow Town” of Snow Town Scenic Area. The inscription “China Snow Town Record” is a precise interpretation of Snow Town.

Snow Town Open-air Stage

Snow Town Open-air Stage is located on the south side of Snow Charm Street, facing the Snow Town stone stele in the north. The entrance to the stage is a 10-meter-high and 16-meter-wide wooden gate. The four characters “China Snow Town” are engraved above the wooden gate, and there is a couplet on both sides. The upper couplet is “Snow Ji Shenzhou welcomes the auspicious day”, and the lower couplet is “Cloud opens Snow Town wears flowers and days”. Standing in the center of the stage and looking around, the snow-covered fir trees in the distance, the snow tongue curtains nearby, and the folk inns around are all in sight. Because this place gathers many scenic elements of Snow Town’s characteristics and sets up a spacious activity area, it has become the first choice for CCTV, local media, and film crews to record stage programs in Snow Town. CCTV’s variety channel’s “Beautiful China Sing” and the Spring Festival special program “East, West, North and South Celebrate the New Year” were all designed and built on the stage here, recording the unique brilliance of singing and dancing in the icy and snowy world.

Snow Scene Origin Viewing Area

The Snow Scene Origin Viewing Area is located on the Bangchui Mountain Sightseeing Trail. The trail is over 300 meters long, built along the mountainside and next to the houses. Because the cyclone gathers here, the scenery is blown into strange shapes, with a different view at every step, and every view is unique. There are wooden houses, low houses, pens, grain bins, firewood stacks, fences, wooden ladders, etc., which decorate Snow Town in a simple, natural, and beautiful way, making people linger. On this trail, you can overlook the panoramic view of Snow Town’s farmhouses, which are staggered and covered with snow, or you can gaze at the scenery of the silver-clad mountains and jade-like trees and branches in the distance.

The night view is even more charming. Every household has red lanterns hanging high, and the lights reflect on the white snow, embellishing Snow Town like poetry and painting, like a dream.

Snow Town Theater

Snow Town Theater is the only professionally built large-scale performing arts center in Snow Town that integrates Snow Town folk songs and dances, Linhai Xueyuan local operas, and Northeast-style duo turns. The building area is 600 square meters, accommodating 300 people to watch the performance at the same time. The actors use professional and wonderful performances to let tourists from different regions experience the humor of Northeast duo turns and appreciate the colorful life of Snow Town.

Bangchui Mountain Village

Bangchui Mountain Village. In the early years, Northeast people called ginseng “bangchui”, and Bangchui Mountain was named after the abundance of ginseng. In those days, due to the rich products of Bangchui Mountain, many vicious people who wanted to occupy the mountain as their king came. In order to resist the bandits’ raids, the local villagers gathered many green forest heroes to set up camp here and named it “Bangchui Mountain Village.”

Dreamland

Dreamland, Dreamland is located at the foot of Bangchui Mountain on Snow Charm Street in Snow Town. It is composed of the 18 Oddities of the Kanto, the film and television set group, the duo turn performance, Dream Garden, and Xin Garden, and is a comprehensive park integrating eating, living, and entertainment. Walking into Snow Town Dreamland Scenic Area, the layered snow shapes are particularly beautiful and dazzling in the sunlight, making people intoxicated in this dreamlike fairy tale world.

Jinsong Sightseeing Trail

Jinsong Sightseeing Trail starts from the primitive forest secluded trail and goes up along the mountain road, like a winding dragon winding around the beautiful mountains. Along the way, the mountains are high, the forests are dense, the pine fragrance is springy, and the wild flowers bloom. Shuttle through towering ancient trees, the high concentration of negative ions makes the air in the valley fresh and refreshing.

Yaxue Highway

After the Yaxue Highway built along the mountains and valleys was opened, the rare rime and snow hanging scenery along the way was even more breathtaking, creating a unique scenic avenue. Especially from 61.5 kilometers to 67 kilometers of the highway, the scenery is magical and picturesque. Snow mountains, rime, white clouds, and the heavens and earth are all in one color. Every grass and every tree, every branch and every leaf are condensed with pure white crystals. Looking far away, it seems to be covered with silver and pearls, like a fairyland. This section of the route was therefore named “Ten-Mile Ice and Snow Gallery.”

Yangcao Mountain

Yangcao Mountain, located in the northwest corner of Snow Town Scenic Area, is the highest mountain in Snow Town, with sparse trees on the top of the mountain. This is the best place to watch the sunrise, see the smoke, and appreciate the snow charm. Every year, tens of thousands of people trek through Snow Town from here.

Night View of Snow Town

Snow Town at night is even more dreamlike. The holy white snow and the bright red lanterns complement each other, like a fairy tale world. In Snow Town, in addition to appreciating the snow scenery, snow charm, and playing in the snow, you can also take a dog-drawn sled or a horse-drawn sleigh, go through the forest and across the snowy plains, and experience the endless fun of ice and snow.
