A few plum blossoms by the wall,
Braving the cold, they bloom alone.
From afar, I know it’s not snow,
For a faint fragrance wafts in the air.
Shanghai’s temperature continues to drop after the Laba Festival. It’s also the season for wax plum blossoms to bloom. In Shanghai, where are the best places to admire these winter plum blossoms? Let’s take a look!

They bloom in winter, shedding their leaves, making them appear even more vibrant and eye-catching without the green foliage. Even in the midst of the cold winter and falling snow, they stand proudly on the branches, blooming more vigorously in the cold, demonstrating a spirit of defiance and resilience, which is truly endearing.

Wax plum blossoms are the last flowers to bloom in a year. Once the wax plum blossoms bloom, the New Year is just around the corner. They bloom against the cold at the beginning of the year. Admiring these blossoms from the railings and inhaling their refreshing fragrance is a unique elegance and enjoyment in the winter.

The water surface meanders naturally, and the small island in the center of the lake, along with the pavilions, corridors, platforms, and bridges set along the lake, form a diverse and colorful landscape, with red as a distinctive feature.
