Where to Have Fun in Shanghai at Night

Shanghai is a very large city, and it is a city that many people yearn for. I think Shanghai is a typical metropolis, whether it is the old Shanghai or the current Magic City of Shanghai, it is very charming. Of course, Shanghai is beautiful at any time of the day. Below, I will tell you about some fun things to do in Shanghai at night.

Where to Have Fun in Shanghai at Night

Shanghai comes alive at night.

Yesterday morning, after sleeping in, I went to Xintiandi and Tianzifang. Both Xintiandi and Tianzifang are shikumen alley art, a Westernized modern Shanghai architecture.

There is also a site of the first congress of the Communist Party of China in Xintiandi. On both sides of the road stand two-story villas, with gray and pink bricks stacked in a neat row. There is no whitewash on the outside, the bricks are exposed, very quiet and elegant, as if the end of time cannot sweep over here.

The large square gate, the black iron gate tightly closed inside, the upper lintel is decorated with various graphics, beautiful and gorgeous. The shikumen is also named after its gate. The small streets of Xintiandi are now full of restaurants, except for the buildings here, there is nothing else.

Tianzifang is not as grand as Xintiandi, the roads here are winding, small and narrow. Because of this, Tianzifang is so artistic and unique. This is definitely a place for young literati to have fun, interesting products are dazzling, you can have a good time bargain hunting.

However, the commercialization of these two places is extremely serious. The so-called scenic spots, the so-called architectural art, have become a glamorous packaging for commerce.

In this way, Wuhan has Tanhua Lin and Lihuangpi Road, these in Shanghai are really not unique.

I was a little disappointed.

Plus, when I went to the Shanghai Museum in the afternoon, I found it was closed on Monday (I didn’t even know!), my mood suddenly turned bad.

So, I went up the Oriental Pearl Tower and took a sightseeing boat to blow some cold wind on the Huangpu River.

Shanghai came alive at night. At night, Shanghai became the Shanghai in people’s eyes, dazzling and magical. The dazzling Oriental Pearl Tower stands near the Bund, making people reluctant to look away. Countless skyscrapers also began to unleash their magic and majesty.

At this point, I began to come into contact with a real Shanghai.

Climbing the Oriental Pearl Tower, the elevator ascended to the 269th floor at a speed of seven meters per second, and this speed made my eardrums ache. Standing at a height of 269 meters, overlooking the whole of Shanghai, you can see the traffic flow slowly, like the arteries of a city, the blood rushing and flowing in an orderly manner.

And those roads that shine with light are crisscrossed, like a giant net, spreading to every corner of the city. This is the vitality of Shanghai, everything is revealed at night!

I like to take night flights, not just because they are cheap. I remember the last time I returned from Vladivostok, when I was about to reach the Capital Airport, I saw our capital, the whole of Beijing! It is like a golden cake, flat on the ground, surrounded by darkness, only it is dazzling.

The closer you get to it, the more you can see its details, high-rise buildings, highways, vehicles that are still flowing, the whole city seems to really come alive, you can deeply feel the vitality that gushes out of it. At this moment, one can only hold one’s breath and watch.

Shanghai, likewise.

The Huangpu River is like a black ribbon, dividing the lights on both sides into several pieces. Tall, short, big, small, densely arranged in an orderly manner, like gems, like diamonds, extending to the end of the night. The wind at high altitude is cold and blows, I can almost hear its roar through the glass, they can only blow coldly, Shanghai imprisons them in the primitive era.

Shanghai is a magic city, and it starts “smoking” at night. I don’t know if it’s like this every night, but this time I did see those buildings over 200 meters tall “smoking.” Before I went up the Oriental Pearl Tower.

We saw white smoke suddenly rising from the top of the nearby Financial Building, and a tourist quickly asked: Is there a fire? A few people took out their mobile phones to take pictures for souvenirs, and no one knew if there was a fire. After climbing the Oriental Pearl Tower, I saw those white smoke again, mysteriously surrounding a high building, blown by the wind but not dispersed.

My friend explained that the water vapor in the Huangpu River is heavy, and it liquefies into fog when it gets cold. This explanation is also reasonable.

I deeply realized this white fog while on the cruise ship. Standing on the deck, keeping a certain distance to admire the buildings on both sides, I felt even more beautiful. And at this time, the white fog became even more intense, a large building was completely hidden in the white fog, only the part with lights flashing on the top appeared and disappeared intermittently, like a ghost.

If you see buildings floating in the air, or buildings without “heads,” don’t be shocked, it’s just the little trick that the white fog plays. The Oriental Pearl Tower body is constantly changing colors, becoming more and more mysterious and magnificent in front of you, and white fog shrouds behind it.

Suddenly I remembered the title of “Magic City”, Magic City Shanghai, mysterious and magnificent, has always attracted people of all kinds to take root here.

When people gaze at it, they unconsciously forget the darkness of the night and immerse themselves in beautiful aspirations, and that heavy fog, no matter how hard you try, you can’t get rid of it, only one small desire after another is sleeping in your dreams.

Leave your dreams here, because this is the Magic City Shanghai.
