The air is crisp and clear, making it the perfect time for hiking. Leshan has many great places to hike in the fall, so we highly recommend you go there to explore and check in! You can take this opportunity to hike to Mount Emei, Heizhugou, Dawa Mountain, and other attractions! For more recommendations, please see below.
1、Mount Emei
As autumn deepens, it’s time to plan a hiking trip to enjoy the tranquility and Zen of the mountains. Here, you might witness a sunrise, or you might encounter a vast starry sky, or you might encounter the beautiful autumn scenery in this season. By October, seeing the green mountains painted with colors from halfway up the mountain is a unique experience. Lush green mountains are gradually dyed red, yellow, and orange by nature, staging a visual feast of color.
2、Heizhugou
Heizhugou, a transliteration of the Yi language, means “valley where clouds stay for a long time” in the Yi language. It is hidden in the towering mountains, and the mysterious 30th parallel north passes through it. The mountains are green and the waters are clear, beautiful like a painting. The pristine scenery is hidden in the mountains, giving Heizhugou a mysterious veil. In summer there is a cool breeze, and in autumn there is beautiful scenery. Heizhugou’s autumnal fantasy blockbuster is about to begin…Are you ready?
3、Dawa Mountain
Dawa Mountain in Jinkouhe, the world’s most magical natural park, with lakes and swamps of all sizes, rugged mountains, allows you to see different scenery while you are playing along the way. Blue sky, yellow leaves, orange and yellow, Dawa Mountain’s autumn is in full dress. See the mountains turn red, the trees dyed in all colors, causing photographers to press the shutter involuntarily, recording the most beautiful moment!
4、Lingyun Mountain
Embark on a nighttime hiking tour on Lingyun Mountain. Standing on top of Lingyun Mountain, look out over the twinkling lights of Jiazhou City, watch Buddha, city, mountain, and water blend together, outlining a beautiful picture of “the sleeping Buddha awakes, the ancient city reappears, the mountains and waters of Jiazhou, the city in a Chinese painting”. In the midst of flickering lights and interwoven shadows, tourists stroll along the paths of Lingyun Mountain, viewing the poems and inscriptions of Lingyun up close, and gazing out at the night view of Jiazhou and the moon over Mount Emei. As you ascend the stairs along the night tour route, Lingyun Mountain, with its flickering lights and interwoven shadows, appears before you, a beautiful scene at every turn.
5、Wuyoushan Mountain
Wuyoushan Mountain, also known as Lidei, is located in the core scenic area of the Giant Buddha Scenic Area, facing Lingyun Mountain across the Mahao River. It is the site of an irrigation project built by Li Bing, the Shu governor of the Warring States and pre-Qin periods, to “avoid the harm of the Mo water”, also known as Qingyishan Mountain. Wuyoushan Mountain is surrounded by water on all sides, with a solitary peak standing tall. The mountain is covered in lush trees, with green shades overlapping. The whole mountain is not high, the long stone steps connect the arch bridge at the bottom of the mountain to the ancient temple at the top, and also show the scenery of the mountain to visitors, for their enjoyment.
