Oriental Giant Turtle Garden is known as “A world in the mountains and seas, a million books on the stone”. It is located on the east bank of the Yihe River in Pingshan County, Hebei Province, bordering the revolutionary site of Xibeipu. The scenic spot covers an area of over 2600 mu, concentrating two world’s best, six China’s first, 81 red, green, ancient and new attractions.
The scenic spot includes two world’s best: the ten thousand-ton giant turtle and the cross-century tribute archway, and six China’s first: the thousand-meter gallery, the Chinese historical ecological garden, etc., with beautiful environment and rich implications.
3、Rafting in Oriental Giant Turtle Garden
The rafting in Oriental Giant Turtle Garden is a primitive wild river rafting. The river water is clear to the bottom, it has not dried up for a hundred years, and wild birds flock to it. It is 5 kilometers long and the water area is about 50 meters wide. When you are rafting on the water, you will encounter rapids like a galloping horse, and when you enter the calm water, you will feel like you are floating in a lake.
The rafting passes through the Yihe Wetland, and you can see the black stork, a national first-class protected animal, along the way, and you can also experience leisure and entertainment activities such as playing in the wetland, picking up strange stones, and touching clams.
You can’t take off your life jackets during the rafting, and you should prepare for your valuables to prevent them from falling into the water in advance. The drop is not big, and the elderly and children can choose according to their own circumstances.
