Huangshan Scenic Area is open all year round.
1. March 2nd – October 31st: Monday to Friday 6:20–17:30; Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 6:00–17:30;
2. November 1st – March 1st (including Saturday, Sunday and public holidays): 7:20–16:30;

IV. Introduction to the Scenic Area
Known as “The No. 1 Strange Mountain in the World.” Located within Huangshan District, Huangshan City, in the southern part of Anhui Province (the scenic area is directly under the jurisdiction of the city), East longitude 118°1′, North latitude 30°1′, about 40 kilometers long from north to south, and about 30 kilometers wide from east to west, the mountain range covers an area of 1200 square kilometers, the core scenic area covers an area of about 160.6 square kilometers, spanning the city’s Yixian County, Xiuning County, Huangshan District, and Huizhou District, covering an area of 1078 square kilometers. Huangshan is one of the three mountains and five sacred mountains. Huangshan has 82 peaks, either majestic and magnificent or steep and beautiful, arranged in a staggered and orderly way, naturally and cleverly formed, centered on the three main peaks of Tiandu Peak, Lianhua Peak, and Guangmingding, spreading out to three sides, falling into deep ravines and valleys, and rising into peaks and cliffs.
