First stop, Liziba Anti-Japanese War Site Park

Take Metro Line 2 and get off at Liziba Station. Walk about 50 meters across the road in the opposite direction of the viewing platform, and you will see Liziba Anti-Japanese War Site Park.

Walking into the park, you are instantly transported from the bustling modern city to another time and space.

As you walk up the steps along the trail, you can savor the river views along the way.

In Liziba, Liangshan Chicken, Tea Rice, and Baxian Garden Catfish are all decades-old local brands. Don’t forget to treat yourself after enjoying the scenery.

Second stop, Eling Park

If you are not in top shape, we recommend you start your hike at Eling Park.

Because the two-kilometer walk from Liziba to Eling is all uphill.

Eling Park is Chongqing’s oldest private garden. The ancient fortress and the private gardens complement each other, making it an excellent place to enjoy the two-river scenery of Chongqing, the city’s panoramic view, and the mountain city’s night view.

If you get tired, you can find a pavilion or a building to rest.

Sit in the chairs and watch the birds and flowers, and savor the old Chongqing garden atmosphere.

Third stop, Fotu Pass Park

Fotu Pass and Eling Park are connected. Turn right at the gate of Eling Park and walk about 300 meters, and you will reach the gate of Fotu Pass Park.

Enter the trail from the right side of the Yang An Gong statue. There are few tourists along the way, so you can fully enjoy the enchanting mountain views and embrace the therapeutic beauty of the forest. It’s very relaxing.

The sunlight shines through the mottled green leaves, making it a great place to take photos with a vintage style. Every photo you take has a touch of fresh air.

There are Half-Mountain Cliff signs all the way, so don’t worry if you get to a side road. At the far west exit of Fotu Pass Park, you will reach the “Train to Spring” photography spot.

Although the beauty plum has faded, it is now time for the Bougainvillea to bloom.

Fourth stop, Hutiao Rock Park

Continue walking, and you will reach the intersection of the Half-Mountain Cliff Trail and the Da Hua Trail. Pay attention to walk upwards, otherwise, you will go back the same way.

Hutiao Rock Park recently became popular. With a vertical difference of over 100 meters, looking down from the trail built on the edge of the cliff, you will feel like you are in an “air park”.

Walk along the mountain ridge sightseeing path, and you will pass by four sightseeing platforms.

Winding through the lush green trees, on one side is the steep cliff of Hutiao Rock, and on the other is the Shabin Road and the Beibin Road scenery along the way.

As one of the highest points in Yuzhong District, you can overlook the Tiandihu Lake, the Jialiang River, and the Hong’en Temple Park on the opposite side, which seems to be just around the corner.

Fifth stop, Pingding Mountain Park

The trail from Hutiao Rock to Pingding Mountain is complete. There is a steel pedestrian staircase in the middle. If you don’t want to walk, you can take the bus.

The Dragon Spring Cave on the other side is also picturesque and has been praised by many netizens as Chongqing’s version of the “Hanging Temple”.

It is a Taoist temple, surrounded by lush green trees, with red walls and glazed tiles embedded in it.

Standing here, you can gaze far away at the Red Rock Village Bridge and the cannon fort on Beibin Road. The feeling of standing on top of the world is even more intense.

After visiting Dragon Spring Cave, continue walking forward. There are many farmhouses and teahouses along the way. Afterward, you can visit Pingding Mountain Park and then return.
