1. Travel Route
Jinshitan Resort is located in the northeast of Dalian city, surrounded by the sea on three sides, with beautiful scenery. The best tourist season is from May to October every year. Take the subway line 3 from the North Square of Dalian Railway Station, it takes about 50 minutes to reach this back garden of Dalian. After getting off the subway station, you can go to the nearby tourist service center to buy tickets. Each attraction in the resort can be sold separately. If you want to visit multiple attractions, you can also buy a package ticket, which is cheaper than buying separately. Next to the light rail station, you can take the sightseeing loop line to reach each attraction, and you can ride unlimited times with a ticket.
Discovery Kingdom Theme Park is not far from the light rail station, you can take a shuttle bus from the tourist service center directly to the park gate. Discovery Kingdom is a famous theme park in Northeast China. There are many large amusement facilities, among which the “Crazy Cobra Roller Coaster” and the “Heaven and Earth Rotating Roller Coaster” are very thrilling and worth experiencing. It basically takes a whole day to play in Discovery Kingdom.
South of Discovery Kingdom Theme Park is the Golden Coast, a 5-kilometer-long beach with a wide view. The water clarity and sand quality here are better than the beaches in the city. You can take a sightseeing train from the tourist service center to the east side of the Golden Coast.
Binhai National Geopark is located at the southeast end of Jinshitan Resort and is a photography paradise. Here you can admire various strange rocks formed by billions of years of rock deposition and a large number of fossil fossils. They stand on the seashore, some resemble stone monkeys watching the sea, some like big Peng spreading wings. You can take the sightseeing loop line to the park. There are many hiking trails in the park, pay attention to the steps and steep slopes.
These are the most worth visiting attractions in the resort. In addition, there are Jinshi World Celebrity Wax Museum, Jinshitan Geological Museum, Life Mystery Museum, Film and Television Art Center (Xu Beihong Art Museum), etc. in Jinshitan Resort, most of them are concentrated near the light rail station. If you have bought a package ticket and have enough time, you can go for a walk.
There are many guesthouses, hotels and various restaurants in the area around the light rail station and one kilometer east of the light rail station. The consumption here is not much different from that in the city. There are short-distance buses locally, and it is also convenient to travel. Jinshitan Resort also has Tangfeng Hot Springs, Flight Experience Center, Jinwan Golf Course, Jinshi Golf Course, Jinshi Hunting Club and other leisure places. If you have a long holiday, it is very suitable to stay in the resort for a few days.
