3. You can choose to buy tickets from any bus station and take the bus to Yangjiang Bus Station, the journey is about 3 hours, the ticket price is between 85-100 yuan, after arriving, take the Zhapou direct bus which is 15 minutes per trip, the ticket price is 14 yuan, about 1 hour journey;

4. Of course, you can also book a two-day and one-night free travel package at a travel agency, which includes round trip tickets and hotel, which is the most convenient and cost-effective, but one day is spent on transportation, and there is not much time to play;

【Zhapou – Guangzhou】

1. Zhapou Bus Station has 6 buses to different bus stations in Guangzhou every day, the ticket price is between 100-115 yuan, you can buy tickets by paying attention to “Guangdong Yueyun Langri” WeChat

2. You can take the bus from Zhapou Bus Station back to Yangjiang Bus Station and then transfer back to Guangzhou, there are many trips, and you are not in a hurry.

Transportation on Hailing Island

Huimin Public Bus (Green Electric Car)

Coin operated, 5 yuan per ride, fixed route, basically covers all scenic spots, suitable for friends traveling with less than 4 people, the disadvantage is that it does not go to places like Mawei Island, which are farther away, and 5 yuan is quite expensive for a public bus.

Green Tourism Electric Car

The same car as Huimin public bus, but it doesn’t have Huimin public bus written on the car, stop on demand, the price should be about the same, more people is more cost-effective.

Three-wheeled Motorcycle

There are many on the street, with several rows of seats in the back, 10 people can sit, you can stop them anytime, it’s 10 yuan per ride in the Dajiao Bay area, it’s convenient for friends whose hotel is a bit far away, it’s 20 yuan for places farther away like Mawei Island and Nanhai No. 1, it’s still the same sentence, more people is more cost-effective, the driver may not quote such a cheap price, we have accumulated experience from being cheated, so it’s stable now, if you need it, you can find this uncle, the price is still quite fair (it says Chen Yi but it’s actually an old man).

Motorcycle

Suitable for friends traveling with less than 2 people, 5 yuan in the Dajiao Bay area, 10 yuan for Nanhai No. 1 and Mawei Island, if it’s more than that, it’s better to choose a bus, which is safer.

Funny Little Car (I made up this disgusting name haha)

It’s very interesting, there are two-seater and four-seater, it costs 40-60 yuan per hour, you should be able to bargain if you have more time, I saw others driving it happily, but I didn’t rent it because I thought it was expensive.

Bicycle

Single, double, four-seater, etc., I haven’t ridden it for years and I don’t know if the price has changed, it’s about 10 yuan per hour or more, Zhapou is not big, it’s also good to ride a bicycle, but there are many cars on weekends and the traffic is congested, which is unsafe.

Accommodation

Regarding accommodation, I will talk about the general feeling of the three hotels I have stayed in.

Windsurf Holiday Apartment

The hotel I stayed at on my last trip, I would choose this one because it is cheaper on weekdays, it’s 150 yuan booked online, the price is 350 yuan on weekends.

The advantages are that the environment is okay, you can also see some sea view when you open the window, the room is big, the bed is comfortable, the Wifi is fast, it takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Dajiao Bay, there is a bus stop downstairs, and there are also many tour buses and motorcycles, there are many restaurants everywhere, and there are several convenience stores.

The disadvantage is that there is basically no service, after getting the key, you basically have to do everything yourself, the room is not cleaned, there is sand in the bathroom, I stayed for two days and it wasn’t cleaned the next day, I couldn’t even store my luggage after checking out.

Sunshine Peninsula International Hotel

One of the best hotels in the area, we stayed in a mountain view room, which is also a king-size bed, the environment is quite clean and hygienic, it takes about 10 minutes to walk to the entrance of Dajiao Bay, the breakfast in the downstairs restaurant is not delicious, because it was a weekend during peak season, the only impression I have is “expensive”, it’s 680 yuan per night, but it’s peak season, it’s expensive everywhere.

Lingnan Garden Resort Hotel

I don’t remember the price, but I remember it’s not expensive; the location is not good, it’s far from Dajiao Bay, the beach in front of the hotel is not allowed to swim, the overall room is okay, clean and hygienic, you can see the sea view from the window, it’s not too far to go anywhere, if you have a car, you can consider staying here.

Dajiao Bay Beach

The only paid beach on Hailing Island with safety guarantee, the ticket for one day is 48 yuan on Taobao, and 68 yuan for unlimited times for two days, you need to collect fingerprints for two days; there is a water park and amusement rides, as well as water sports such as jet ski, banana boat and waterskiing, it can be said to be suitable for all ages, the beach is clean, the facilities are complete, the seawater is clean, the wind and waves are moderate most of the time, it’s exciting but not enough to overturn people, it’s the best choice for family trips.

The safety guarantee is good, with complete rescue measures, such as using ropes to mark the safe area in the sea, there is a lifeguard every 10 meters outside the rope, and there are jet skis shuttling back and forth constantly, on the shore, besides other lifeguards on standby, there are also people monitoring the broadcast to stop tourists from crossing the line, the advantage is that it is very safe, the disadvantage is that the area within the line that is allowed to swim is only about 50 meters, it is not very free to be restricted everywhere, people are crowded in this area, bumping into each other, it’s not a good feeling.

Because there is a water park, children like to come here to play. In addition, there are also games suitable for adults to play.

Games Suitable for Adults

Although another place charges for the ticket, all the services inside are charged separately, such as taking a shower, changing clothes, storing luggage, renting a swimming ring also costs 20 yuan, it’s recommended to rent it outside and bring it in, it only costs 5 yuan. There is a new area with amusement rides.

Mawei Island

Actually, my favorite beach is Mawei Island, which is very suitable for taking pictures of sunset and starry sky; Mawei Island is located in the southwest of Zhapou, a free beach, there are more tour groups during the day, there are fewer people from dusk onwards, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the entrance to the beach, it’s a mountain road, there are no streetlights, so you can’t go out of the island too late, it’s not safe.

The beach of Mawei Island is a large expanse of shallows, the water only reaches your waist even if you walk out dozens of meters, there are few wind and waves, it’s very gentle, the seawater is clean depending on the weather, the sand is very fine and soft, it’s very suitable for bringing children, besides swimming, you can also catch small fish and crabs, adults may find it boring, the water is not deep and you can’t surf.

There are places to change clothes and bathe, they are all private shops and also restaurants; the beach does not have any safety facilities, but because the beach is very flat, there is no danger;

If you don’t drive yourself and you take a tricycle, remember to ask the driver for a phone number, because there are no cars here at night.

The scenery at the entrance is also beautiful, there is a piece of fishing rafts across the street.

The sand at the bottom of the water is layered, walking on it feels like a foot massage.

Nanhai No. 1

Besides tour groups, there are few people going to play inside Nanhai No. 1, but the beach in front of it has become a free leisure and entertainment beach, there are tents all over, many entertainment projects such as banana boat, speedboat, dune buggy, you can also take a boat from here to Sanshan Island, there are not many swimmers, this is not an area where swimming is allowed, there are no official changing and bathing facilities, but there are some shops nearby, there are no lifeguards, it’s quite good from the swimming experience, but you can’t go too far from the shore, otherwise, no one will save you if something happens.

Beiluo Bay

It’s a beach that curves inwards, surrounded by mountains on three sides, it’s not big, but it’s quite clean and beautiful, it’s also relatively flat, it’s suitable for playing in the water, it’s free now, I think it’s quite good, I will consider this beach next time.

Poly Silver Beach

The beach in front of and behind the Poly Silver Beach real estate project, I only went inside this section of Poly Silver Beach and had a look, it’s free and clean because it’s also maintained, but there are few people, I guess only residents here are playing, it’s so quiet that I ran away quickly.

I highly recommend the beach past Poly Silver Beach, which is a beach that does not belong to anyone, it’s very beautiful, there are several restaurants on the shore, providing simple changing and bathing facilities and renting swimming rings, although there are few people, you can also play in the water recklessly here.

Evergrande Hawaii

I went there in mid-June this year, I thought there was a sand sculpture exhibition and went in, but the sand sculpture exhibition hadn’t started yet, it seemed to be a very beautiful beach, it’s a new real estate project, so the beach is also very clean, it’s very open, there are few people, it’s also decorated to be quite beautiful, the facilities should also be quite complete, because it’s far from the central area, I feel it would be very lonely to stay here, but it’s okay if you have a car, I will try swimming here next time.

East Island

I’ve only been to East Island once, and I haven’t been back since, I was overturned by big waves dozens of times, the place where the beach meets the water is also covered with gravel, it’s painful to walk on it.

Food Recommendation

The characteristic breakfast in Yangjiang is big bowl noodles, stir-fried rice noodles and pig intestines, any restaurant has it, it’s not cheap, you can try to bargain, there are many restaurants anyway, everyone will try it when they come here.

Traditional thin pig intestines, topped with special soy sauce and full of sesame seeds, it’s unforgettable.

Beef brisket big bowl noodles, the beef brisket is fragrant and soft, the taste is very good!

【Good Day Restaurant】

On Tourism Avenue, opposite Yeye Street, my family often goes there to eat, saying that this one is cheaper, I think the taste of the dishes is indeed good, cuttlefish cake, seafood and so on are all delicious, the roasted spare ribs taste amazing.

【Di Ji Stall】

I’ve eaten here twice, although many people recommend it, the price is indeed a little cheaper, but the taste is average, this time it’s 148 yuan for 4 dishes, cuttlefish cake tastes different at every restaurant, this is the weakest one I’ve had, it’s not that it’s not delicious, it’s still passable, the flower crab is the cheapest one we chose, it’s not fat at all.

【Yuanhai Fishing Village】

Opposite the Windsurf Holiday Apartment where I stayed, it’s the weekend, seafood prices have gone up, flower crab is 98 yuan per jin, two crabs are 9 liang, three dishes cost 161 yuan, the poor guy felt sad again, but the flower crab is quite plump, the dishes and taste are all quite good.
