I was bored at home on the weekend and didn’t want to stay at home like that. Thinking about it carefully, it has been a long time since I went out to play and explore properly. So I made an appointment with my friends to set off in the afternoon. Many times, we should go out more, experience the differences here, and then we will feel that the world is beautiful and our existence is valuable and meaningful. So, Five-Color Pool, here I come.

My friends and I traveled through Huanglong Scenic Area, witnessed the beauty of the Five-Color Pool, and our minds and bodies were filled with various information, with various ripples in our hearts. 

This morning, I thought about it carefully, the scenic spot is named Huanglong, but what leaves a deep impression on tourists is the colorful pools of various colors. Thinking about it this way, I couldn’t help but smile. 

What is Huanglong like?

We followed the instructions of the tour guide and entered the Huanglong Scenic Area, then took the cable car up.

Then we started hiking about three kilometers. Looking back, we realized that this place is named Huanglong because the rocks between the two mountains are all unique yellow and have uneven shapes. The water flows down, sometimes rushing, sometimes gentle, creating a dragon-like feeling. The mottled black plant roots add a sense of dragon’s majesty.

Following Huanglong down, every place we walked, our feeling of Huanglong was different. Some parts are like young children, childish and cute; some are like teenagers, full of vigor; some are like young adults, vigorous; some are like middle-aged men, rushing down; some are like old men, steady and dignified… Although they are all yellow, sometimes with water moistening them, sometimes dry, sometimes forming a gurgling stream, sometimes forming a majestic waterfall, but we didn’t feel monotonous for some reason. Thinking about it carefully, the various colored pools mixed in played a big role.

The local people believe that all the water pools we see are the children of the sea, so they are called “haizi” (sea children).

I didn’t count how many “haizi” there are in Huanglong Scenic Area, only remembering that after we got off the cable car, we went straight to the Five-Color Pool. Along the way, we encountered various colorful flowers and plants, making our hearts start to smile.

When the Five-Color Pool appeared before us, everyone’s heart couldn’t help but feel wide open. These pools depend on each other, sometimes high, sometimes low, forming various colors due to various factors, and they are beautifully integrated with the surrounding mountains, green trees, and wildflowers. Everyone who passes by here can’t help but strike various poses to better integrate with the scenery and leave a memory.

I was wondering how these “haizi” came about and how these colors came about. Maybe it was the strokes left by the children of angels and gods at different stages of their growth, and the one who allowed them to leave their marks here must be their mother… However, interestingly, it is precisely because of this space left by parents for their children that these “haizi” and the yang-filled Huanglong complement each other, forming this unique Huanglong Scenic Area.

Every step we take, the “haizi” in each place are different. Some show off their playfulness, some show the youthfulness of a girl, some show the gentleness of a young woman, some show the warmth of motherhood… The “haizi” and Huanglong complement each other, making Huanglong’s masculine energy and the “haizi’s” feminine beauty stand out even more, combining perfectly.

There must be a beautiful story between the “haizi” and Huanglong. As long as I close my eyes, various stories will appear in my mind… But this time, what I deeply felt is that no matter how beautiful a place is, it is inevitably a fusion of yin and yang. The reason why they can fuse is because they accommodate each other and give each other space. This creates an overall harmony, forming a famous scenic spot that makes people linger. The more space you give each other and the more you accommodate and accept each other, the more you will create an overall harmony and complement each other. 

Beautiful Huanglong Scenic Area, you have the physical existence of Huanglong, but what is imprinted in our minds is the soft and countless “haizi”. Huanglong, beautiful, the divine power of nature, without careful planning, just flows naturally, this is the power of magic. Thank you, nature; thank you, Huanglong; thank you, “haizi”; thank you, my inner awareness.
