Aokenguan Ancient Town, a name that is quite a mouthful, is my next destination. I don’t know much about it, but with my love for ancient towns, I decided to visit. Let’s explore it freely together!

First Impression of Aokenguan Ancient Town

It is a jade in the embrace of mountains, a pearl at the foot of the Eastern Qinling Mountains, shining brightly.

It is a place where “one foot steps into three provinces” and “the rooster’s crow echoes through three provinces.” It sits at the junction of Sichuan, Gansu, and Shaanxi provinces, secluded and tranquil.

It’s like a watercolor painting, with bridges, flowing water, verdant mountains, misty clouds, and drifting smoke.

It’s like a Ming and Qing Dynasty song, simple and elegant, pure and natural, without the noise of the world, without any annoyance.

New Ideas in the Ancient Town

It carries the vicissitudes of history, the changing fortunes of the world, like a beauty born in the Ming Dynasty, raised in the Qing Dynasty, and achieved in the Republic of China, gracefully coming to the world.

On that long ancient street, every wild rose blooming on every stone wall is a vanished legend; every deep old fern on every tile has a lingering historical story.
