The train slowly traveled on the road, with countless terraces and houses on both sides. The terraces are in blocks, layer upon layer, separated by small paths for people to walk on. Maybe because of the frequent rain, the houses are mostly convex at the top and concave at the bottom, which makes it easier for people to avoid the rain. Along the way, there were many mountain tunnels. Maybe that’s how the mountain city came into being!
Called Hongya Cave, but it’s actually a snack street
When people hear Hongya Cave, they think it must be a mountain cave with beautiful scenery by the water. But it is not. Hongya Cave at night is beautiful, its beauty obviously surpasses the deliciousness of the food. The people coming and going seem to be only focused on this river and this scene.
My friends and I walked down from the top of Hongya Cave. The first thing that caught our eye was the snack shops, lined up neatly on both sides of the road. As we walked further, the road became less flat, and we walked through what seemed like a cave, the road was narrow and steep, like a mountain path. Then we gradually heard the sound of water, a small waterfall, cascading down from above, the water was very clear. We walked down more steps, I thought we had reached the so-called ground floor, the first floor, but the reality was different from what I thought. We continued to walk on this flat ground, both sides of the road were full of delicious food and fun things. After walking for a while, we arrived at a clearing, from which we could see the Jialiang River and the giant ships on the river, shining brightly, reflecting on the water, very beautiful, very beautiful.
Only I can be the tallest, you can’t be taller than me
That’s right, I am the “Liberation Monument,” once known as the tallest building, there couldn’t be a better one than me. The Liberation Monument is a monument that was erected when Chongqing was liberated. At that time, it was the tallest building, but now there are high-rise buildings everywhere, there is no tallest, only taller!
Children’s playground, Meixin Foreigners Street
When you mention Foreigners Street, you must be puzzled. Foreigners Street must be a place with a lot of foreigners, why is it a playground? When I first heard this name, I thought the same as you guys, thinking that Foreigners Street was a place with a lot of foreigners, what’s so fun about it? That’s what I thought, and then my friends laughed at me.
I was indeed ignorant. I didn’t see it, I didn’t know it. The amusement facilities at Foreigners Street are really complete, children will scream with excitement when they get there. But, my favorite are the buildings here, people with OCD would be unbearable here, even I, with a mild OCD, felt uneasy after seeing the design of these houses.

It’s a good thing I was there at the right time. My return train departed from Chongqing Station, and I had the chance to take the world’s longest escalator, the Crown Grand Escalator. It’s really impossible to see the end at a glance, all you see is the moving elevator.
Chongqing is beautiful, and Chongqing’s night view is even more beautiful.
