Discount Policy

Children: Children under 1.4 meters (including 1.4 meters) or under 6 years old (including 6 years old) can visit the “Tang Dynasty Treasures – Hejia Village Buried Treasures Exhibition”, namely the Treasure Pavilion, free of charge, accompanied by a guardian (need to show valid ID)

Elderly: Elderly people aged 65 years old (inclusive) and above can visit the “Tang Dynasty Treasures – Hejia Village Buried Treasures Exhibition”, namely the Treasure Pavilion, free of charge, accompanied by a guardian (need to make an appointment on the official website of the Shaanxi History Museum and show their ID card and senior citizen preferential certificate on site)

Disabled people: Disabled people can visit the “Tang Dynasty Treasures – Hejia Village Buried Treasures Exhibition”, namely the Treasure Pavilion, free of charge, accompanied by a guardian (need to make an appointment on the official website of the Shaanxi History Museum and show their disability certificate, disabled veteran certificate, disabled police certificate on site)

Military personnel: Active military personnel (need to make an appointment on the official website of the Shaanxi History Museum and show their officer certificate, civilian staff certificate, NCO certificate, soldier certificate, military academy student certificate on site) can visit the “Tang Dynasty Treasures – Hejia Village Buried Treasures Exhibition”, namely the Treasure Pavilion, free of charge

Opening Hours

Peak season (March 15 to November 14): 8:30-18:00 (ticket collection stops at 16:30)

Off-season (November 15 to March 14 of the following year): 9:00-17:30 (ticket collection stops at 16:00)

The Shaanxi History Museum is located at No. 91, Xiazai East Road, Yanta District, Xi’an. You can take buses No. 5, 19, 26, 30 and other routes, as well as Metro lines 2 and 3. Self-driving visitors can enter the parking lot from the southwest corner of the museum.

The Shaanxi History Museum (Treasure Pavilion) displays over 30 sets of jade and gemstone objects unearthed from Hejia Village, including the “treasure of the town” beast-headed agate cup of the Shaanxi History Museum; it also exhibits 466 gold, silver and copper coins unearthed from the buried treasures, dating from the Warring States Period to the Tang Dynasty. There are also Japanese silver coins, Persian Sassanid silver coins and Eastern Roman gold coins, spanning over a thousand years.
