The former residence of Zhang Xueliang was built in 1914, covering an area of 53,000 square meters, including three courtyards, the Big Green Building, the Small Green Building, the Guan Di Temple, the Red Building Group, Zhao Yidi’s former residence, the former site of the Border Industry Bank, and the Mansion Office. It is a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Zhang’s Mansion, the residence of Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang, is a huge complex of buildings that combines Chinese and Western architectural styles. It is one of China’s outstanding modern architectural groups and the best-preserved celebrity residence in Northeast China to date.

The mansion is not far from the Shenyang Palace. After visiting the mansion, walk north along Chaoyang Street, turn left onto Shenyang Road and continue walking. It is about 1 km away.
