I often wonder in what circumstances I will come to Yunnan? I have a special feeling for Yunnan. I feel like I won’t set off unless I have to. Yunnan is my utopia in my heart, a place I have longed for for a long time, so I am very eager to go there. I don’t want to play it all at once. I want to go several times, with different moods, come here, and have a dialogue with myself. It’s great. So this time I came to Gaoligong Mountain in Yunnan.
Gaoligong Mountain Jungle Law
I think when people arrive in Baoshan, what they see, hear, and say seems not far from Beijing, probably related to the historical development and ancient war immigration here. The proportion of Han people here is relatively higher than in other places in Yunnan.
The most important thing is that the scenery here is very well integrated with the architecture, life, clothing, music, food, etc. of other ethnic minorities here. The degree of assimilation is much lower than in other places.
Therefore, this contrast between different cultures brings us fresh fun everywhere.
This tree is a bodhi tree, hundreds of years old. This spring water pool is cold on one side and hot on the other.
In the forest, nature has its own way, and man has his own way.
Birds don’t know that every year, every month, every day, every hour and every minute, people from different parts of the world are concerned about their actions, carefully designing them, and gathering at Baihualing at the foot of Gaoligong Mountain for various reasons, hoping to get the best viewing place to get the desired photography lens.
This is a section of the Nujiang River, the water flowing under the suspension bridge is not urgent.
Shuanghong Bridge, one of the important nodes for building the China-Myanmar Highway and General Wei Lihuang’s attack on Japan.
This way of eating is also an invention of the Lisu people, which is very practical.
Yongchang Ancient Town
The old street in Yongchang Ancient City still has a bit of flavor. Fortunately, it has not been completely commercialized and retains a lot of the unique charm of the nation.
People, wine, roads, pots, and doors seem to have no signals leading to the city.
Wine is abundant and cheap, all are really fragrant.
Potatoes are not Beijing potatoes, chickens and pigs are not either. Although they seem familiar, most of them are different, and the fun comes from this.
General Wei Lihuang commanded the attack on the Japanese in Gaoligong Mountain, and he contributed a lot.
You need to play slowly around Yongchang City to experience more different fun. The world’s most famous coffee and the best coffee beans we drink may come from here. There are many coffee shops from Longyang District to Baihualing. Unexpectedly, the yield of small-grained coffee here is amazing.
There is a very large mosque from Dali to Baoshan, and of course there is also a large Hui minority area in Baoshan. I like the food of Hui people. The Pu Piao Copper Scoop Hot Pot is very delicious.
In some places in Yunnan, they eat insects, including cicadas. One night, my friends at Baihualing took a handful of corn kernels, put them in two iron basins, covered them with their hands, and shook them vigorously. After a while, cicadas flew down in droves. That day’s dinner was settled.
Gaoligong Mountain has too many differences worth exploring. The most important reason for all this is that it is a borderland, so it has many different ethnic characteristics. On the other hand, tourism has not reached here yet, so the jungle still retains many pure natural fruits, animals, and plants, which is truly great.
How many ancient tea trees are hidden in the deep mountains? Why can pork be eaten raw here? There is a kind of magic fish here that can peel peanuts and eat them. How many kinds of animals, plants, and insects are hidden here? I still have many questions in my mind. It’s okay, I believe I will come again.
