Is Shaanxi History Museum Free?

Two methods are implemented: online booking and WeChat public account reservation. Visitors can make reservations according to the prompts by presenting their second-generation ID card (foreign visitors present their passport number). Each ID number can only reserve 1 ticket per day (1 child under 6 years old or 1.4m tall can be brought along). Each membership account is limited to 5 reservations per day.
Reservation Process

1. Visitors need to make ticket reservations through the “Shaanxi History Museum Official Website” or “Shaanxi History Museum Ticket System”;
2. During the opening period, the limited number of visitors is 6000 people per day;
3. The Shaanxi History Museum Ticket System public account will automatically release tickets in batches at 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, and 22:00 every day, with 900 tickets released in each time period. The remaining 600 tickets are reserved for special groups such as elderly people, military personnel, and disabled people accompanying adults who have already made reservations. Please make reservations as needed;
4. Visitors can make reservations by presenting their second-generation ID card (foreign visitors present their passport) and following the prompts in the reservation system. Each ID number can only reserve 1 ticket per day (1 child under 6 years old or 1.4m tall can be brought along), and each membership account can reserve 5 tickets per day. Fill in the identity information carefully, select the date and time of visit, ticket type and quantity, and confirm that the information is correct before submitting the order;
5. After making a reservation, you can access the “Order Inquiry” through the WeChat public account to check the order information and confirm whether the reservation was successful;
6. Reserved tickets are only valid for the reserved time slot. They will expire after the time slot. Three no-shows will result in the cancellation of their online reservation eligibility for one year.
Ticket Collection and Entry Process

1. Visitors who have reserved tickets for the “Basic Exhibition” should present their second-generation ID card or the ID number of the visitor information at the time of reservation to the self-service ticket machine to collect tickets during the reserved time slot on the day of the visit. Visitors who reserved tickets through their passport should present their passport at the East ④ Comprehensive Service Window on the east side of the south gate of the Shaanxi History Museum to collect tickets. Upon presenting their ID card and reserved tickets at the south gate entrance, visitors can enter the museum after confirmation.
2. Visitors who have reserved paid tickets should present their valid ID (second-generation ID card or passport) to the “Manual Service” window on the east side of the south gate of the Shaanxi History Museum to collect paid tickets. Visitors should queue up at the East ① and East ② windows to collect tickets for the “Tang Dynasty Treasures – Hejiacun Buried Treasure Exhibition” and the East ③ window to collect tickets for the “Tang Dynasty Mural Masterpieces Exhibition”. Visitors can enter the museum after presenting their entrance tickets and reserved ID (second-generation ID card or passport) at the ticket inspection gate on the east side of the south gate.
