Shandong Qingdao is a great place, but you only know that Qingdao has some beautiful scenery and delicious seafood. But what you don’t know is that Qingdao also has a very fun place, that is – Qingdao Pier.

Qingdao Pier Travelogue Essay (700 words)

Due to volunteering at the Encounter International Youth Hostel near Qingdao Pier, I had the opportunity to spend a day sightseeing at the Pier. The Pier was my first stop on my Qingdao volunteer trip and also my favorite attraction. Qingdao Pier is located near Qingdao Railway Station. The bridge body extends from the coast into the crescent-shaped Qingdao Bay, and it is a national 4A-level tourist area.

The seaside of the Pier is quite special. The Pier is like a sword extending into the vast sea. Standing at the tip of the bridge, looking out at the sea, you feel like you are in the sea. Everything you see is the sea; occasionally a gust of sea breeze blows past, accompanied by the thunderous sound of waves crashing against the rocks, making you feel the vastness of the sea; standing at the end of the bridge, you feel like you are on the blade of a sword. Tourists often walk in groups on the bridge, walking and stopping to take pictures.

In addition to its own charm, the Pier also has flocks of seagulls. There are many old people around the Pier Square selling seagull food. For five yuan, you can buy three bags to feed the seagulls. Occasionally, when tourists feed them, the seagulls will fly together to grab the food. Then a group of seagulls will fly around the tourists. If the tourists have food in their hands, the bold seagulls will snatch it from the tourists. The agile seagulls are often the first to eat, while the less skilled seagulls can only fly around. I think they are praying for the tourists to feed them again; when the sun is shining, a ray of sunlight falls on the sea, sparkling. Groups of seagulls circle above the tourists, a beautiful sight.

Besides the beautiful seagulls, there are also many stalls selling seashells, wind chimes, starfish, coral, and other delicate items by the Pier. Tourists will often go there to inquire, and most of those who inquire are women. Beautiful little gifts are the most attractive to girls. For tourists whose hometown doesn’t have the sea, buying some of the little things sold at the stalls is a good choice for family and friends.

Each of the three scenic spots of the Pier has its own charm, making countless tourists bow to it. A thousand readers, a thousand Hamlets, different tourists will have their own three scenic spots in their hearts. But besides the three scenic spots, the Pier also has other beautiful scenery, such as some tourists picking up shells in the rocks by the sea. I was at the Pier in winter, and now the Pier in summer is waiting for you.
