Huangshan Yixian Bishanshubu is the Anhui branch of Pioneer Bookstore, with an independent, free, and philanthropic quality and sentiment. The scenery here is picturesque, beautiful like a fairy tale world, which deeply shakes the heart and allows your mind to be instantly elevated. Below is a detailed introduction to Huangshan Yixian Bishanshubu.
Huangshan Yixian Bishanshubu is still very famous. This is also a cultural field with a very high degree of freedom, attracting the attention of many literary and artistic youths. Everyone gathers here to find resonance in their souls.
Autumn Leaves
In the village of Bishans, there is a bookstore opened by a local gentleman, Bishanshubu. Those who come to Bishans by reputation must go to find the bookstore. When we left from Zhu Lan Bar’s second store and went to Bishanshubu, we went in the opposite direction. I have to say that not understanding the map is the most failed part of my trip.
We were going in completely the wrong direction, but luckily, the outsiders we met were all looking for Bishanshubu, and the locals we met were all familiar with the direction to Bishanshubu.
On the way to Bishanshubu
We turned back, walked a long way in the direction of leaving the village, then went around many winding alleys, asked many people, and finally came to a coffee shop about cows. My friend said this was Bishanshubu, but I said no. We turned a corner, and next to it was a sign that said “Bishanshubu,” leaning against a literary little river, with a wall of green ivy. This is definitely a place to take pictures.
After taking a picture, we went through the narrow door on the right hand side. We were greeted by two dogs sleeping in the center of the courtyard. One was dozing, watching over the other dog that was sleeping soundly. People were constantly appearing around, taking pictures. Bishans, even the dogs, showed the serenity of this place.
I rarely take pictures of dogs, except for special ones. This dozing dog made me pick up my camera. Without knowing it, it raised its head and looked at me very friendly, instead of at the lens. Having confirmed our eyes, I saw this dog’s kindness.
Perhaps because I had a smile in my eyes, the dog stood up and followed me for about three or four steps, then turned back to watch over the sleeping dog. This was before I entered the wide door, and in the following two hours at Bishanshubu, the books, the dogs, and the white canvas bag made me feel warm and fond of Bishanshubu.
I chose a book called “Bookworms Keep a Little Madness.” I just wanted to use the limited time to quietly and attentively experience one book. Immersed in the book, I was attracted by the description of the bamboo forest in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in the book, because our next stop is Hangzhou. The descriptions were just in time for what I saw. Suddenly, there was something soft and warm at my feet. It was the dozing dog I had confirmed eyes with. After finishing its responsibility of watching over the other dog, it came to me, wanting to express its affection.
I’ve always been respectful and distant from dogs, but just this moment of leaning by the little dozing dog activated all my natural attributes. The most primitive emotional exchange between me and the animal, this feeling of nature is Zhu Lan Bar, it is Bishans, it is Bishanshubu, the kind of simple and true feeling, not noisy, not agitated, just being yourself peacefully, the kind of down-to-earth feeling.
The time we had agreed with the rental car driver was coming. My friend and I chose many books, and I also bought a canvas bag designed by the owner, and bought some things I don’t usually look at, but now I bought them and they’re very suitable, like Jieziyuan Bamboo Spectrum and Chrysanthemum Spectrum. Things that are truly related to culture, profound things, things in the bones of Chinese people. Here, to like something is to be determined, to be natural, without any utilitarian purpose, just to like something, to hold it in your hands and love it, with my painting skills, even imitation is not qualified, I can be a full-fledged spectator.
When I left the alley, I felt like I was suddenly at the side of the road. How could it be so different from the winding feeling I had when I went in? Einstein’s theory of relativity is truly amazing. Strange to Bishans, the road is long; reluctant to part with Bishans, you feel the parting is too fast.
Goodbye, Bishans, goodbye Bishanshubu. I will be back. I have no flowery words, only sincere love in my heart.
