1、Dshanchong Forest Park
Dshanchong Forest Park is located in Lukou Town, Changsha. The park is rich in flora and fauna, with more than 430 species of plants, making it a botanical garden in Changsha County. The park retains its original natural scenery.
There are many mountains and valleys in Dshanchong Forest Park, with lush peaks, towering ancient trees, a green coverage rate of 98%, and a forest coverage rate of over 90%. It takes about 1 hour to walk through the scenic area from the park entrance. The park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, with gurgling streams, fresh air, pleasant climate, and magnificent flower seas that can be seen while walking through the scenic area. In addition, the legendary story of Zhang and Wu families’ dispute over the ownership of the mountain forest, the trench remains left by the Chinese army when they fought against the Japanese invaders, and the flourishing incense of Dongxing Temple, less than 0.5 km away from the park, add to the charm of the park.

2、Shutang Mountain——The Former Residence of Ouyang Xun
Shutang Mountain, fifty miles north of Changsha City, is located in Shutangshan Village, Shutangshan Street, Wangcheng District. Shutang Temple was built on the mountain. Ouyang Xun, a great calligrapher of the Tang Dynasty, and his son Ouyang Tong once studied on this mountain. Shutang Temple is the former site of the Ouyang family’s school. Shutang Mountain has beautiful scenery, and there are remains of the Wash Pen Spring, etc., with “Eight Sceneries of Shutang” as its representative characteristics. The “Eight Sceneries of Shutang” are: the site of the reading platform, the jade case spread out books, the wash pen spring pool, the prince’s enclosure, the double maple lined the road, the cypress trees connected like beads, the fragrant rice spring gushing out, and the Ouyang Pavilion towering.

3、Tianhuashan
Tianhuashan is located in Qingshanpu Town. It is scenic and runs from north to south, with the mountain range originating from Yingzhushan. There are scenic spots on the mountain, such as Guanyin Rock, Stone Pine, and Wanglutai. In April 1961, Liu Shaoqi, the former President of the People’s Republic of China, conducted a social survey in Tianhuacun and climbed this mountain, resting under the Stone Pine. Tianhuashan’s “Eight Sceneries of Tianhua” have long been famous, with scenic spots such as Wanglutai, Xianggushi, Guanyin Rock, Zilaiquan, Wanniansong, Tianhua Ancient Temple, Zhenshan Pagoda, and Hamayan. Among them, the two scenic spots, Tianhua Ancient Temple and Zhenshan Pagoda, were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution, leaving only six scenic spots: Wanniansong, Guanyin Rock, Zilaiquan, Xianggushi, Wanglutai, and Hamayan.

4、Wangcheng Wushan Forest Park
Wushan Forest Park currently has a forest area of 304.43 hectares with a forest coverage rate of 80.22%. The vast bamboo forest and mixed forests of evergreen and deciduous broad-leaved trees form the “tall mountains” and dense forests of Wushan. Coupled with the gurgling streams and gushing springs in the area, the rich water resources create an excellent ecological environment within the forest park. According to measurements, the average concentration of negative oxygen ions in the park is as high as 7413 per cubic meter, which is a Class 1 standard. The air is particularly fresh and extremely beneficial to human health. As Yuan Longping described the park, it is truly a “natural oxygen bar, a fairyland on earth.”

5、Yingzhushan Tourist Area
Yingzhushan is located in Fulin Town, with an altitude of 509.4 meters. It is one of the four famous mountains in Changsha County. The lush and verdant trees here form a natural oxygen bar.
