3、 Scenic spot introduction

Jingzi Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain, with ruins such as Tiantan and Casting Dingyuan. The main peak, Tiantan Peak, is 829 meters above sea level, bordering the Yellow River to the north, with towering cliffs, it is the best place to enjoy the scenery of the Yellow River Xiao Langdi. Its “Jingzi Shenglan” is listed as one of the top eight scenic spots in Xin’an. Because of the many thorny trees and purple flowers on the mountain, it is named after; legend has it that gold was produced in its northern foothills, so it is also called Jinzi Mountain.

There is Yuhuang Pavilion on the top of the mountain, which is an octagonal pavilion-style building, and there is also a stele of “Reconstruction of Yuhuang Temple Record” from the fifth year of Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty. There are remains of Zhenwu Hall and six remaining steles on its east side, which are records of the repair of the hall in the Ming Dynasty. Tongxian Guan is built at the foot of the south mountain, which was built in the Song and Yuan dynasties and has been restored. The temple is majestic and imposing, and the temple fair on the third day of the third lunar month is unprecedented in its scale, influencing two provinces and four counties and cities around it.

On the north side of the mountain, halfway up the mountain, there is a peach garden, about two miles wide and eight miles long. In early spring, in February, when the mountain peaks are still covered with snow, the peach blossoms at the foot of the mountain are already blooming in spring, making the peach garden a truly spectacular sight.

On the north side of the main peak, from the ridge down, there are nine mountain ridges of varying lengths, extending to the bank of the Yellow River, just like nine dragons. They lie on the mountains, with their heads sticking out into the water, as if playing around, resembling nine dragons, vividly and realistically, with the beauty of “Nine Dragons Playing with Water”. Jingzi Shenglan, Nine Dragons Playing with Water, Shiping Diecui, Jingshan Red Leaves, Guanlang Chunqing, Langyuan Peony, Muma Gudi, Taoyuan Chunse together create the eight scenic spots of Jingzi Xian Mountain.
