Xichong, located in Shenzhen, is a perfect place to watch sunrise with its stunning beaches and reefs. The clear and inviting seawater, warm and gentle sea breeze, and the mesmerizing scenery will surely leave you in awe. Here is the best location and time to catch the sunrise at Xichong.
We woke up at around 5:00 a.m. and the boss took us to watch the sunrise as shown in the picture below. We should have started earlier next time. (I only remember that we woke up at 5:25 a.m., but not sure what time we left. I was ready to go after I finished washing up. I was wearing short sleeves and shorts, riding a motorcycle, and I felt that it was quite chilly in the morning in Xichong, so it is recommended to wear long pants, which will keep you warm and be more helpful for climbing mountains. The mountain path is covered with grass.)
When we reached the foot of the mountain and got past the threshold, the sun was about to rise. It was only five minutes before the official sunrise time, but we were a little late even though we ran up.
The sun was already half-way out, and I loved the purple glow surrounding it. Unfortunately, I’m not a skilled photographer and couldn’t capture the feeling. I hope someone with good photography skills can teach me sometime.
This picture of the sun is pretty good. It even captured the light rays. Next, we walked towards the beach. The small hill was quite steep, making me feel like a primitive person, using all four limbs to climb. However, I really enjoyed the feeling. I just haven’t been exercising much lately, so I felt a bit tired.
We then saw a large reef and the handsome guy and I climbed up while the professional boss took pictures from below.
My legs were so weak. I felt really insecure without holding on to something.
This picture of the sun is interesting. The photographer brother kept shouting from below, asking me to pose. Oh my God, I was just happy to be able to stand up there, let alone pose. But then again, it’s not a big deal. Looking at the waves in the distance, the blue sky, and conquering the fear in my heart, standing up there wasn’t so scary after all.
Here’s a picture of my white shoes, just to prove I was here.
I saw this goofball sitting there and took a sneaky picture. My photography skills are not great, so please excuse the quality.
I walked back the way I came, leaving my footprints on this land.
The flower language of foxtail grass is secret love!
Holding foxtail grass, I wonder who this young man is missing far away?
Sitting on the reef, listening to the sound of the waves, if I had a bed, I could probably lie down all day…
The whole trip took about three hours. We got up at five and were back by 8:30, so we had plenty of time.
There were already a lot of people watching the sunrise, and they had driven up the day before and set up tents for the night. That’s a great idea!
