“Thousands of miles of reeds and ten miles ofzhou, the creek dwelling is suitable for both the moon and autumn.” 360 acres of reeds in West Lake have turned white quietly. With a gentle breeze, it is like white snow floating in the wind, hence the name “flying snow”. Where are the reeds? Reeds are beautiful in West Lake. West Lake’s “Autumn Reeds Flying Snow” is famous, and Qiu Xue An is the best place to watch the reeds in West Lake.
From now until the end of November, reeds will be at their best. You can take the “Reed Appreciation Line” to reach Qiu Xue An, the best place to listen to the reeds in West Lake; or you can ride a rowing boat through the winding waterways, listening to the gentle sound of the wind blowing through the reeds, and experiencing the West Lake’s unique charm of “a stream of water and a stream of smoke”. During the Reed Listening Festival, every weekend, West Lake Wetland will have folk music concerts, water village weddings, water opera, ancient style instruments and other performances, allowing you to enjoy more art besides admiring the reeds.
