II. Transportation Routes
1. Airplane
Changbai Mountain Airport is located on the west slope of Tianchi Lake, 15 kilometers from the West Slope Scenic Area, 120 kilometers from the North Slope Scenic Area, and 135 kilometers from the South Slope Scenic Area. Currently, there are direct flights from Beijing, Changchun, Qingdao, Yantai, Shenyang, and Shanghai, among others. You can take a bus from the airport directly to the West Slope or North Slope. Tourists from other regions can first fly to Yanji Airport and then take a bus to Changbai Mountain, which takes about 4 hours.
2. Train
Baihe Railway Station and Songjianghe Railway Station are the closest railway stations to the Changbai Mountain Scenic Area. Generally speaking, more tourists choose to get off at Baihe Station. Most places do not have direct trains to Baihe or Songjianghe, so you need to transfer in Shenyang. You can also take a train to Antu Station and then transfer to a bus to Changbai Mountain, which takes about 3 hours.
3. Long-Distance Bus
To reach Changbai Mountain, you must first go to Baihe Town. Erdao Baihe Passenger Transport Station is located in Erdao Baihe Town and has long-distance buses to Changchun, Jilin, Antu, Yanji, and Dunhua. Tourists from other regions can take a train to Dunhua or Antu, where buses are the most frequent. Yanji City South Passenger Transport Station has a daily Changbai Mountain day tour bus that goes directly to the North Slope Scenic Area of Tianchi Lake, departing at 5:30 am. The one-way ticket price is 55 yuan, and the round-trip ticket price is 110 yuan, including a boxed lunch. The journey takes 5 hours/one way.
4. Tourist Express
Tourist Express Line 1: Bus from Erdao Baihe Town Beauty Pine Garden to the North Slope Scenic Area, with 6 trips per day, taking 40 minutes.
Tourist Express Line 2: Bus from the North Slope Scenic Area of Changbai Mountain to the West Slope Scenic Area, with 3 trips per day, stopping at Changbai Mountain Airport, taking 1.5 hours.

1. Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain
Visit Duration: 3 hours
Transportation: Within the North Slope Scenic Area, you can take a shuttle bus to the main peak to see Tianchi Lake. Within the West Slope Scenic Area, you can take an environmentally friendly vehicle and then climb the stairs to the top of the mountain to see Tianchi Lake. Within the South Slope Scenic Area, you can take an environmentally friendly vehicle to the top of the mountain to see Tianchi Lake.
Features: Holy Lake, a must-see in Changbai Mountain, the deepest lake in China.
Main Highlights: Sixteen peaks, lake water, meadows, wildflowers.
2. Changbai Waterfall
Visit Duration: 1 hour
Transportation: You can take an environmentally friendly vehicle within the North Slope Scenic Area to reach the waterfall. If you first go to Tianchi Lake, you can take the shuttle bus back to the scenic area transfer center and then take the environmentally friendly vehicle to the waterfall.
Features: The source of the Songhua River, one of the main attractions on the North Slope of Changbai Mountain.
Main Highlights: Niulangdu, waterfall, viewing platform.
3. Wangtian’e
Visit Duration: 3 hours
Transportation: Take a taxi from the county town to the scenic area. The price can be negotiated with the driver, and the round trip generally costs around 300 yuan.
Features: The second highest peak in Northeast China, with unique volcanic geological relics.
Main Highlights: Basalt joint, mushroom spring waterfall, mother-and-child waterfall, pearl curtain waterfall, nine-tier waterfall, etc.
4. Changbai Mountain Grand Canyon

Main Highlights: Volcanic igneous rock peak forest landform, forests.
5. Valley Bottom Forest Sea (Underground Forest)

Transportation: You can take an environmentally friendly vehicle within the North Slope Scenic Area to reach the entrance of the forest, and then walk through the forest.
Features: The lowest elevation attraction in Changbai Mountain, a pristine and serene wonderland.

Travel Tips: Due to the lush vegetation in the forest, the temperature is relatively low all year round. Therefore, it is recommended to bring an extra layer of clothing when you come.
