Xi’an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

National Day is just half a month away. Did you guys go out to play after the Mid-Autumn Festival? If not, don’t worry, the 7-day National Day holiday is enough for you to play. Today, I would like to recommend a 5-day tour plan in Xi’an during National Day, the itinerary is arranged for you, hurry up and check it out!

1、Day 1: Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum & Terracotta Army, Huaqing Palace, Yongxingfang

Xi’an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

The Terracotta Army, the eighth wonder of the world, and the “Bathhouse” of Yang Guifei, Huaqing Palace, are places you must see if you haven’t been to Xi’an. The main attractions are of course those piles of clay statues that shocked the world and were called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” by foreigners and the “Mud Eggs” by locals. I suggest that you hire a guide or listen to audio guidance, otherwise, you’re really just here for the excitement.

As for Huaqing Palace, it’s on the same tourist route as the Terracotta Army. Tourist buses also pass by the entrance to the scenic spot. Now there are performances inside, which is a highlight. Of course, you can also soak in the hot springs, but it will cost you extra money. I personally feel that this is the most expensive scenic spot in Xi’an.

You can come back to the Internet celebrity check-in place Yongxingfang in the evening and try local specialties from Shaanxi. I personally feel that the environment here is much better than the Muslim Street.

2、Day 2: Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Everbright City

Xi'an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

The whole trip is relatively relaxing. You just need to book tickets for the Shaanxi History Museum in advance. Don’t think you can book them anytime during the holidays. After making your reservation in advance, you don’t have to get up too early the next day. Have breakfast and then visit the Shaanxi History Museum. I suggest you spend half a day or more at the Shaanxi History Museum. Hire a professional guide or rent an audio guide.

After lunch, visit the Great Ci’en Temple and the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Watch the performance of the No. 1 Music Fountain in Asia in the North Square in the evening. There is no need to pay for seats, just go a little earlier and stand in the front. Then check in at the Internet celebrity spot, Tang Dynasty Everbright City, and travel back to the prosperous Tang Dynasty in a second.

3、Day 3: Ming City Wall, Forest of Steles, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Muslim Street

Xi'an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

If you’re not interested in the Forest of Steles, a pure cultural site, you can skip it. During the 11th Golden Week, it’s autumn, so it’s the most comfortable time to go up the Ming City Wall and look around the ancient capital. You can choose to walk on the city wall, or you can choose to ride a bicycle. It will take you about two hours to take photos, pose for photos, and visit.

After that, you can visit the Bell Tower and the Drum Tower, stand in the center of the city, and overlook the ancient capital. It’s a different kind of feeling. Then you can stroll through Muslim Street, where all kinds of delicious food are available. There are also many niche attractions hidden in the streets, such as the Muslim Mosque, Gao Family Courtyard, etc. If you are interested, you can visit them.

4、Day 4: Xi’an Museum, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Dynasty Everbright Garden

Xi'an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is one of my favorite places. It’s as famous as the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The Small Wild Goose Pagoda is now part of the Xi’an Museum, and there is no admission fee for the museum. The environment is quiet, and you can also see exhibitions, it’s a great place.

Because you have to climb Mount Hua on the last day, you can arrange Day 4 to be a little more relaxed. If you still want to wander around, you can choose to visit the Tang Dynasty Everbright Garden, or go shopping at the Xiazai Saige Mall. It’s also a good idea to go to the Bar Street for a drink in the evening.

You can leave the city on the evening of the fourth day and stay at the foot of Mount Hua, which is more convenient.

5、Day 5: Duel at the Top of Mount Hua

Xi'an 5-Day National Day Trip Recommendation

After wandering around and eating for a few days in Xi’an, it’s time to get some exercise. Climb Mount Hua, pass through the perilous terrain, have a hero’s journey, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of our motherland. You can choose the difficulty of the climb according to your physical condition. If you can’t, just take more cable cars. After you go down the mountain, hurry back home before your legs get sore, so you can recover your physical strength for work after the holiday.

Finally, I’d like to talk about accommodation. You can choose to stay near the Bell Tower in Xi’an for three nights. A room for more than 300 yuan is fine, but if there’s a price surge during the holidays, it will probably cost more than 400 yuan. For the one night at Mount Hua, choose a regular budget hotel.

As for Xi’an’s food, I recommend trying the beef and mutton soup, meat sandwich, cold noodles, meatball hot and sour soup, and sour soup dumplings.
