Actually, the area of Taiwan is very small because it is mainly on a small island, and the houses here are very expensive. On such a piece of land, the scenery here becomes extremely precious. Take advantage of the weekend free at home, call up your friends and go out to eat, drink and have fun.
Xiangtian Lake
Xiangtian Lake is the settlement of the Saisiyat people. A quiet path extends from the lake to the forest, where few tourists go, making it a great place for photography.
Flowers are blooming along the way, entering the forest
Standing in such a forest, listening to all the sounds, giving your lungs a wash is also very good. The air here is very fresh.
Linden shiitake mushrooms are a major specialty of Xiangtian Lake. There are many shiitake mushroom farms in the forest.
After walking a long way, my stomach was a little empty, and I was immediately attracted by the aroma of the Ma Gao eggs next to the park’s parking lot. Ma Gao is a natural spice that looks like pepper. Braised Ma Gao eggs with lemon, soy sauce and other seasonings taste a lot like tea eggs.
Various aboriginal self-brewed wines are also sold here, with samples available before purchase. Millet wine, red yeast rice wine and osmanthus wine are all very delicious.
Donghe Suspension Bridge and Donghe Elementary School
The Donghe Suspension Bridge and Donghe Elementary School were visited in a rather hurried fashion. The weather was great, and the sunshine made the colors of all the scenery very bright, making for great photos. However, it is really difficult to stay under the scorching sun for long.
Nanzhuang Old Street
Nanzhuang Old Street is no different from most old streets. It spreads out around a temple entrance, full of food and specialties. It was the weekend, so there were a lot of people.
The main reason for coming here is for lunch, which is still Hakka cuisine.
Lion’s Head Mountain
Lion’s Head Mountain is the last stop on this trip. It is the largest Buddhist and Taoist mountain in northern Taiwan, with a vast and exquisite group of religious buildings.
The trail up the mountain is not steep, but it will make you sweat in the hot summer.
Lion’s Head Mountain is located at the junction of Miaoli County, Sanwan Township, Nanzhuang Township and Emei Township, Hsinchu County. You can see the boundary marker between Hsinchu and Miaoli County halfway up the mountain.
Actually, my favorite part of this trip was the last activity, hiking. I don’t have much time to exercise because of my busy work and housework, and this hiking experience was a great way to exercise and breathe in different air. It felt really good.
