Hongqi Lake is located in Chunhua Town, Changsha County. The water of Hongqi Lake is as clear as a mirror, the kind that is clean without any dust. A circular mountain stands in the middle of the lake, known as Luosi Mountain, surrounded by water on all sides. From a distance, it looks like a snail soaked in water, with the mountains and water blending together. This is a wild campsite and requires you to bring your own equipment. You can barbecue there, but be careful by the water and be sure to take away your trash when you leave!

3. Bailu Lake Reservoir, Changsha County

Bailu Lake Reservoir, originally called Tongrenqiao Reservoir, is located in Gaoqiao Town, Changsha County, at the southeastern corner of Changsha City.
Because of its good ecology and water quality, many egrets live and feed here, hence the name Bailu Lake. There are sparkling reflections, towering peaks, mist, blooming flowers, birds soaring, and playful fish, shining together, with the beauty of a southern Mirror Lake. Jinjing Lake Wetland is a great place to explore and ride a bike. Luoxianzhai Wind Farm is located in Ningxiang, about a 1-hour drive from Changsha. If you go camping there, you need to bring your own equipment, as it is an unmanaged area.

12. Xiangshanchong Reservoir, Ningxiang

Xiangshanchong Reservoir is not big, with a mountain full of green bamboo. You can swim, camp, and have a meal outdoors. When the weather is good, around 3 or 4 pm, the blue water surface reflects the sun, sparkling and taking photos is very beautiful. When you go there, be sure to bring enough water, as there are no shops nearby. Also, be sure to be careful when going to the water’s edge.
