Although Dujiangyan is a beautiful place with green mountains and clear water, over 2,000 years ago, it was a place flooded by floods. The crops would not yield a single grain. But thanks to the idea of Li Bing and his son to separate the flow of water, we have what we have today. Of course, it has benefited the people of our region.

This place used to be called Guanxian. Later it was renamed. In my opinion, the name Dujiangyan is more modern, while the former name, Guanxian, is more ancient. I am someone who has witnessed the transition from Guanxian to Dujiangyan. Times are changing rapidly, and I don’t know how many people will remember the past, when this place wasn’t called Dujiangyan, it was called Guanxian. Even a name has a historical feel, and I’m afraid that in the future we will all forget them.

They say mountains and water nourish people, but who knows that water also nourishes mountains and water.
Summer mountains are green but not still. Summer water is green but not still. Autumn mountains are still green, but the faint mountain mist adds a touch of mystery. The water may be murky, but it blends in so naturally with the overcast weather. If people love mountains and water, they must love this leisurely sight of the Southern Mountains and this sense of contentment.
Although Dujiangyan is not a place that produces beautiful women, the girls here all have a natural mountain and water air. We don’t have ubiquitous internet celebrities, only typical oriental women with unique faces. We don’t have fancy nightlife, only quiet and natural nights.
06、Early Autumn Arrives, Weather Turns Cool
An old friend once wrote, “Empty mountains after a new rain, the weather turns cool in the evening.” It’s just like today. How beautiful and natural.
Dujiangyan has been cooler than usual recently. Several timely rains have brought blessings to this land. You might say that rainy days can make you feel down, but you’ve overlooked how fresh the air is here. Isn’t that something you crave when you live in a big city?
The air quality forecast has been good recently. I remember a student who came from Chengdu to study in Dujiangyan. He said that when he arrived in Dujiangyan, he could smell the grass. I said, are you exaggerating? He helplessly said, I live in Chengdu, where the air is full of a mixed scent, and it feels suffocating.
Such reflections make me appreciate this clean environment we have now. I don’t know if we’ll be able to keep this environment in the future. All I can do is cherish it now, because everywhere is filled with the corrupt smell of money. I only hope that in this world, there will be a place for people to truly return to their roots and to nature.
Today’s mountains and water are quiet and natural. This scene makes me feel a little embarrassed. But to experience the beauty of the mountains, today is enough!
