In this sunny spring, I believe everyone loves to go out to enjoy the flowers and have fun. Today, I’m going to recommend 5 interesting hiking routes for you. Walk along the willow trees by the lake, play in the wild flower paths, and give spring a big hug. Let’s check it out!

1、Jianshe Road (Sichuan Agricultural University Campus Section)

Recommended Hiking Routes in Dujiangyan

The Sichuan Agricultural University campus on Jianshe Road is a good place for a walk and spring viewing that I have recently discovered. Vehicles passing through the shadows of the phoenix trees and ginkgo trees are like passing through a magical passage. Because of the Sichuan Agricultural University campus, there are always young and beautiful students taking photos on the road, adding vitality and life to the phoenix trees that stand quietly, harmonious, beautiful and poetic. Walking along the green path, you will often hear the sound of the radio from Sichuan Agricultural University campus, the cheers of the students, and when the sun is good, there are people camping and sunbathing on the lawn next to it!

2、District One

Recommended Hiking Routes in Dujiangyan

District One has become one of the most popular places in Dujiangyan in spring and summer. A touch of warm sunshine, mixed with a wisp of gentle wind, drinking tea and chatting, sunbathing, flying kites… under such an environment, it sounds so pleasant. Flowers are blooming around, and trees are sprouting new green buds, everything is so vibrant and full of life.

When the sun is good, it is suitable to gather three or five friends on the lawn, bring a small tent, invite friends, carry a guitar and sing here, walk the dog, such an afternoon is especially worth looking forward to and enjoying.

More than that, the willow trees by the Yihu Lake have been blown green by the spring breeze, dancing with the wind. It is beautiful and comfortable to ride a bike or stroll under them. As the most popular activity in spring – flying kites, it is the perfect choice for many family and parent-child activities. Catch the wind, run a few steps, let go, and let go of the kite. Run towards the wind, letting out the kite string as you run, the kite rushes towards the sky, the tail unfolds one after another, flying in the wind.

3、Wenmiao Street

Recommended Hiking Routes in Dujiangyan

Wenmiao Street is separated from Xingfuli Street by a street, but it is rarely quiet. There are many artistic shops and daily necessities. Commerce and life have a delicate balance here, the daily life of the old Guanxian and the young people’s favorites. The houses on Wenmiao Street and Shuyuan Street are mostly small, green-tiled wooden houses with Sichuan characteristics, which are often covered by phoenix trees and soapnut trees. Taking a leisurely walk there in summer is very healing.

Xiamen Restaurant, Qingfeng Coffee… these shops that lie dormant in the old street are the intersection of new artistic styles and old street culture, creating a different flavor for this old street. Many friends may not know that at the end of Wenmiao Street, there is a shady path around the corner, which is very beautiful and cool under the sun. Going up is the treasure land – Kuixing Pavilion.

The Kuiguang Pagoda and Kuixing Pavilion in Dujiangyan are known as the Twin Towers of Dujiangyan. The Kuixing Pavilion was built in the Qing Dynasty during the Qianlong period. Walk around the terrace, see the changes of the Kuixing Pavilion, or look at the Yuluei Pavilion and the city in the distance, occasionally look back at the road, the sun shines, unknowingly has already left the city, feeling the unique charm of nature.

In fact, it is a short walk to the Kuixing Pavilion. You can bring some snacks and rest in the mountains. It is very suitable for those who want to breathe fresh air and relax in the morning.

4、West Street

Recommended Hiking Routes in Dujiangyan

West Street is less than 400 meters long, flat on top and steep at the bottom, less than a zhang wide. It is the starting point of the historical “Songmao Ancient Road”. Historically, this road was an important commercial route from the south to the Tibetan area, so it is also known as the “Southern Silk Road” and is also known as the first street on the Tea Horse Road. At the entrance of West Street, there is an old, mottled city wall – the Ming City Wall, which has a history of nearly 1,000 years.

Walking into West Street is like stepping into a time tunnel, every brick and tile is full of stories left by history. Although you can no longer hear the sound of mules, West Street, after undergoing a long time of baptism, is as it always has been, full of the smoke and fire of the world. The “Baoping Alley” across the Ming City Wall from West Street is also worth visiting. The wind in the old alley blows slowly and unhurriedly, the high walls, carved eaves, spring flowers…

Have you gone to the end of West Street to take a look? When you get to the end of West Street, you will find an open gate. After going inside, there is a winding staircase. Follow the steps upwards. One end leads to another entrance of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area – Xiguan (which requires a ticket), and the other leads to the City God Temple (free).

5、Qingyou Street

Recommended Hiking Routes in Dujiangyan

Qingyou Street in Qingcheng Mountain is a beautiful road leading to the Qingcheng Front Mountain Scenic Area. It starts at the new mountain gate and is lined with Metasequoia trees. Reflecting the nearby green mountains, small bridges and flowing water, birds singing and flowers fragrant… it has become a treasure land with a fairy-like atmosphere.

Besides the most representative “mountain” shaped mountain gate, the large lawn next to it is also very popular. Every day, people stroll, have picnics, play music, practice Tai Chi… they will all gather here unconsciously, enjoying a leisurely and comfortable time.

Continuing up the Qingcheng Mountain, it is another sight. That is, the section where you take the sightseeing car. Most of the trees on both sides of the road are Metasequoia trees. The 2 kilometer long road is surrounded by them.

When you arrive at Jianfupalace in Qingcheng Mountain, this road ends. Jianfupalace enshrines Fan Li, the God of Wealth. The back hall houses the longest couplet in the history of Qingcheng Mountain. It’s a good place to visit and have a cup of tea. Of course, you can also choose to order a cup of tea at the teahouse beside the stone steps, and take a moment to think about everything surrounded by green mountains and green water.
