Visiting Northwest China has always been a dream for many people. The beauty of the Northwest is magnificent and delicate. The famous Chaka Salt Lake and Gude National Geopark, due to their special geographical location, have formed unique Danxia landforms, beautiful like fairyland. You must visit Northwest China once in your life.
About Gude Park
Gude National Geopark is a comprehensive geopark featuring natural landform landscapes and geological relics, supplemented by diverse ecological landscapes and rich cultural landscapes. Located in Gude County, Qinghai Province, it includes three main parks: Ashgon Park, Yellow River Valley Park, and Mawu Gorge Park, covering an area of 554 square kilometers, with a main geological relic area of 113.6 square kilometers. The seven-colored peak clusters in Ashgon Park are colorful, beautiful and magnificent; the wind-eroded landforms in Mawu Gorge are exquisitely crafted and ever-changing; the Yellow River landscape is magnificent and beautiful, like flowers and brocade; and the Longyang Gorge is steep and dangerous, magnificent and majestic. The diverse geological relics reflect the evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau during the geological history, and also record the development history of the Yellow River and the changes in the Gude natural environment. It is an excellent place for sightseeing, leisure vacation, science education and scientific research, and is known as “the little Jiangnan on the plateau”.
To enjoy the Danxia landforms, you must be willing to climb hills, as you will find different scenery from different perspectives.
Every angle offers a different view, a different visual impact. The large scene can show the momentum, while close-up, find the right angle, you can also have a majestic aura. This scene I have only seen in National Geographic magazine, when I was there, no matter how many landscapes I had seen, I would be amazed, let alone the pictures in the magazine I have admired for a long time. After seeing this picture, you may understand what I said before, for those who love photography, two hours of play is far from enough, because to take good pictures we must climb up and down, on the hillside, there is a momentum of overlooking the mountains, walk down, there is also a feeling of walking in a castle. I have always felt that national parks are like castles, because of these layered rocks, and also because of the colors of these rocks. This is the charm of “Gude National Park”.
