Although the temperature has started to drop, there are still many scenic spots in Dujiangyan that you can visit and check in. If you want to play in the water, you can check out these two spots, and you can pack your bags and head there on weekends.
Dujiangyan Lian Sankeng
Dujiangyan is truly the leader in the water play world. It sits in the embrace of Mount Qingcheng, and has countless rivers and streams.
Lian Sankeng is located in the Hongkou direction, 70 kilometers from Deyang, and is relatively remote. The last few kilometers of the drive are winding and narrow, with poor road conditions, so please drive slowly when passing through.
In terms of the width of the river bed, Lian Sanping is not as good as the other few places, but the natural swimming pool here is truly unique. You must bring a float. There are deep water areas and shallow water areas, so playing in the water is absolutely comfortable!
The deepest part of the water is about the height of an adult’s abdomen, making it suitable for swimming, and the water quality is also very clear. As soon as you step into the water, a feeling of coolness washes over your entire body.
Compared to other places, there are really far fewer people coming here to play in the water, and the place is also very spacious, allowing for barbecues, picnics, and water fights.
There is a rope bridge nearby that is good for taking photos, and there are also shops nearby where you can rent tables, chairs, and stools, and enjoy barbecue snacks.
The cell phone signal here is not very good, so don’t enter if the weather is bad. You can take Pu Hong Road on the return trip, the scenery is quite good, and you can see the sunset.
Play address: Lian Sankeng, Dujiangyan City
Ticket reference: None, parking fee 10 yuan
Dujiangyan Chaping Scenic Area
Chaping Scenic Area is hidden in the mountains behind Mount Qingcheng. It takes 2 hours to drive there from Deyang.
You can directly search for Bishui Taoyuan on your car navigation system. This is the farthest farmhouse, located at the head of the river. The water is very clean. The car drives down the steep slope on the left side of the hidden valley, which is not difficult for new drivers.
Most importantly, both sides of the river are lined with bamboo, which means you won’t get much sun when playing in the water, and you can also bring your dog.
There are many tea houses and farmhouses here, with low prices, charging around 50 yuan per person, including lunch, and you can go rafting, play mahjong, drink tea, and swim!
Playing in the water is quite physically demanding, so you can bring some snacks, fruits, etc. yourself.
Overall, the entire scenic area is full of farmhouses of various sizes, all of which allow you to play in the water, but the depth of the water varies.
If you want to go rafting, you can directly search for this farmhouse on your navigation system, the water is deeper, and you can take a raft to the other side where there are shallow beaches for playing in the water.
The environment here is quite pleasant, and it is ideal for short-term entertainment!
Play address: Dujiangyan Chaping Scenic Area, you can navigate to “Bishui Taoyuan”
Ticket reference: None, 50 yuan per person at the farmhouse
