I believe you all know that Zhangjiajie is a very well-known scenic spot in China. The most important thing is that there are many scenic spots in this scenic area, and it definitely takes more than one or two days. Today, I will recommend a three-day itinerary for a self-guided tour in Zhangjiajie, hoping that this guide will help you. Let’s take a look together!
1. Day One
Arrive at the gate of Wulingyuan Scenic Area at 10:00 am, take the scenic area shuttle bus to the Shuirao Sifen scenic spot and get off, take a look, and take the Bailong Elevator, ticket price is 65 yuan, to Yuanjiajie. After visiting the scenic spots, this is the essence of the scenic area, estimated to take 2 hours. At 2:00 pm, take a shuttle bus to Yangjiajie. Stay here for 1 hour, at 3:00 pm take a shuttle bus to Tianzishan Scenic Area. Tianzishan is also the essence of the scenic area. Spend 2 hours here. Around 5:30 pm, take the cable car down the mountain and then take a shuttle bus back to the scenic area gate. You can walk down the mountain, which is estimated to take 1.5 hours, but it’s too tiring to walk all day. It’s best to take the cable car.
2. Day Two
Similarly, arrive at the gate of Wulingyuan Scenic Area at around 10:00 am, take the shuttle bus to Shuirao Sifen, and then walk along the Golden Whip Stream. The whole journey is 7.5 kilometers, estimated to take 1.5-2 hours. The scenery is very beautiful. At 1:00 pm, arrive at the square below Huangshizhai Scenic Area and take the cable car up Huangshizhai, which also costs 65 yuan. After visiting the scenic spots at the top of the mountain, it is also the main scenery of Zhangjiajie. It takes about 2 hours, and you can walk down the mountain from the front gate. It takes 1.5 hours. After going down the mountain, walk to the entrance of the Forest Park ticket station and take a passenger bus for 12 yuan to the Tianmen Mountain cable car area to stay.
3. Day Three
Go to buy tickets at 10:00 am. The tickets are for the B route tour, at a price of 278 yuan. It’s best to book tickets in advance. Sometimes, there are no tickets in the morning, and you have to take the bus in the afternoon, which will affect your itinerary. Then take a bus to the Tianmen Cave cable car and take the cable car up the mountain, then walk up the Tianti to Tianmen Cave and take the elevator up the mountaintop. Walk around both the east and west routes at the top of the mountain, about 6-7 kilometers, taking about 2 hours. Finally, take the Tianmen Mountain cable car down the mountain around 4:00 pm, and arrive in the city around 4:30 pm.
Later, the time was tight, and the whole itinerary was a bit rushed. Many of the scenic spots were just a cursory look, and only the main scenic spots were visited. The Forest Park is too big. It takes 3-4 days to see everything. The total cost: Wulingyuan ticket 227 + Bailong Elevator 65 + two cable cars 130 + Tianmen Mountain ticket 278 + three nights accommodation 300 (budget travel, a clean and hygienic room is fine) + three days of breakfast noodles, dinner, drinks, snacks, etc. 200 + passenger bus 25 = 1200~1300 yuan!
