## Batai Mountain

Enter G65 Baomao Expressway (Dasha Expressway) from the urban area, drive towards Dazhou, exit at Shitang, follow the signs for Chengwan Expressway, and arrive at the Batai Mountain Geopark at the end.

Batai Mountain Tourism Scenic Area is located in Wanyuan City, Dazhou City, and is a national natural heritage site, national geopark, and national 4A-level tourist attraction. Batai Mountain’s main peak is 2272.3 meters above sea level, known as the second peak of Bashan Mountain. Besides the main peak, there are also Lao Batai Peak, Duxiu Peak, and Zhujian Peak. Duxiu Peak is sharp at the top, like a pen or a pagoda. The solitary peak stands tall, shrouded in mist, appearing and disappearing, constantly changing. Batai Mountain has abundant rainfall and ample sunshine, forming unique Batai Mountain sunrise, Buddha’s light, sea of clouds, and cloud waterfalls, which are called “Emei of Eastern Sichuan” and are the first place in Sichuan to see the sunrise.

Bashan Grand Canyon is located in Xuanhan County, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction, a national geopark, and a provincial-level nature reserve. It is a karst landform consisting of mountainous canyon-type natural scenery. It is the birthplace of the national intangible cultural heritage Tujia weeding gongs. The scenic area has a long history and many historical sites. There are ruins from the end of the Qin Dynasty and the beginning of the Han Dynasty when Fan Kuai stationed his troops, such as General Ping, Running Horse Liang, Tie Ma Shi, Datong Xian Dao, and the stone plank road. There are ruins of Zhang Xianzhong and the White Lotus Sect, such as Qinglongzhai, Dazhaizi, etc.

## Phoenix Mountain

The highest peak is 756 meters above sea level. It is a forest landscape-type urban park. Its terrain is from west to north, high in the west and low in the north, shaped like a phoenix, hence its name, Phoenix Mountain. It consists of landscape gardens, Beiyan Temple, Erlongtan, artificial lake, corridors, pavilions, stele forests, botanical gardens, Bashou Garden, maple forests, etc. It covers a large area, has a reasonable layout, and has many functions. The mountains in the park are beautiful, the trees are lush, the flowers are in full bloom, the waterfalls flow in the mountains, and the lake water is clear.
