About 6:30 AM, Science and Technology Building 07:00 AM, opposite the north gate of Xiqing 7:20 AM, gather at the west gate of the Water Park and set off, along the Xibeipu Expressway to the famous revolutionary old district – 【Pingshan County Xibeipu】(about 1.5H drive), arrive at one of the five major revolutionary holy lands in the country, a national 5A-level tourist area, a national patriotic education base, and the exterior location of movies such as “The Founding of a Nation” and “The Great Battle” – 【Xibeipu】, climb the new Xibeipu Memorial Tower, overlook the new look of Xibeipu, the former compound of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (mainly including the residences of the five major secretaries, the Central Military Commission Operations Room, the site of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Central Committee, the site of the September Meeting, and the air-raid shelter, etc., during which you can take an oath to join the party or review your oath in front of the former site of the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh National Congress); pay homage to the statue of the five major secretaries in the statue square named “Taking the Exam” and take a panoramic souvenir photo; visit the Xibeipu Memorial Hall (watch the three major battle operational panoramic paintings to experience the scene, the group sculptures with the most leading figures in the country, the longest telegraph corridor in the country, etc.); after that, free activities (you can pay extra to participate in large-scale situational dramas, live performances of “A New China Came From Here” 100 yuan/person), in the afternoon around 3:30 PM, take a bus back.

① Self-driving

The Xibeipu Expressway leads directly to Xibeipu. It takes about 40 minutes to drive from Shijiazhuang to Xibeipu via the expressway.

② Public Transportation

1) There are direct buses from Shijiazhuang North Bus Station to the Xibeipu scenic spot.

2) From Shijiazhuang, take a Pingshi express bus to Pingshan County Bus Station, and then transfer to Xibeipu from Pingshan County Bus Station.

3) The bus route from Shijiazhuang North Bus Station to Xibeipu is three times a day: 6:50 9:40 14:00

Notes:

① If you are driving yourself, you can drive all the way in, and the red tourism base does not require tickets. If you are not tired of walking, do not get tricked into getting off at the gate and taking the scenic spot’s electric car.

② The main attractions are not far from the regular parking lot of the scenic spot. There is a parking lot in the scenic spot and it does not require tickets. There are many empty spaces in the parking lot.

③ If you do not hire a guide, you will be walking around without knowing much about the place, so it’s pointless.
