Lianyungang has built a network of cycling paths with features of seaside, riverside, mountains, islands, and wetlands. Currently, the city has built 160 kilometers of “high-value” cycling paths, divided into leisure, sports, and competition categories. The city also proposed a “one bay, one ring, two belts, and twelve districts” cycling network.

Where to Go Cycling in Lianyungang

“One bay” refers to Haizhou Bay. It utilizes the 126 kilometers of coastal avenue to build a seaside cycling track that serves both leisure, sports, and competitions.

“One ring” refers to the Yun Tai Mountain loop road. It focuses on sports functionality and also serves competition purposes.

Where to Go Cycling in Lianyungang

“Two belts” include a leisure belt and a sports belt. The leisure belt starts at Yudaihe River, follows the Dongyan River, enters the sea channel, and ends at Shengli Lake, forming a leisure green corridor. The sports belt starts at Quyangmen, follows Xingfuli Road, Qiangweihe River, Linhong Wetland, Coastal Avenue, and Xidati, and ends at Liandao, creating a cycling track with rural and waterfront characteristics.

“Twelve districts” utilize existing and under-construction parks, green spaces, and scenic roads to form cycling paths like Shengli Lake loop, Yueya Island loop, Liu Zhizhou Mountain Sports Park, and Huaguoshan Wukong Avenue.

Where to Go Cycling in Lianyungang

The Xingfuli Road cycling path starting from Quyangmen in Haizhou blends with the ancient city style. The Dongyan River cycling path on both banks starts from Haining East Road in the south and ends at the intersection of Gangcheng Avenue and Songhua River Road in the north, covering a total length of about 30.7 kilometers, connecting leisure activities, sports, and sightseeing routes for the citizens. The 5.5-kilometer mountain biking track in Liu Zhizhou Mountain Sports Park has been completed and successfully hosted regional sporting events. With the progress of the Haizhou Yudaihe Ecological Corridor project, the 7.8-kilometer cycling path under the shade of trees is gradually becoming connected.
