Wuhan is still quite lively during the Dragon Boat Festival. If you are going to visit scenic spots, the most recommended ones are definitely Yunwu Mountain and Mulan Prairie. Yunwu Mountain

Yunwu Mountain is famous for its tea, but it is not within the scenic area. In fact, the mountain road about 20 kilometers from Mulan Tianchi Yunwu Mountain is very beautiful in spring, with fresh green buds and charming spring water. The tea plantation at the foot of Yunwu Mountain is by the road. There will also be a large area of rapeseed flowers. It is recommended that you drive yourself to enjoy the scenery.
The less friendly part is that there are staff at the entrance and exit 2 to 3 kilometers away from the real attractions, and vehicles need to pay 10 yuan in the scenic area. If you start hiking from here, you may be tired before reaching the boarding gate. If you are too lazy to walk, there is a sightseeing bus that shuttles from the Yunwu Mountain Hotel to the main entrance of the scenic area, charging 10 yuan/person. For 30 yuan, it can take you to the top of the mountain. You can take bus No. 292 from Hankou Railway Station to the Huangpi terminal, and then transfer to the Paulownia-bound bus to get there.
Mulan Prairie

Although the ticket sellers wearing Mongolian costumes and speaking Huangpi dialect are a bit funny, Huangpi does have a large flat grassland, creating a vast expanse of prairie for those who can’t go to northern China to experience horseback riding, archery, and grass skiing. You can experience horseback riding, archery, grass skiing… There is also a large area of Sangge flowers. The flowering period is in September and October. You can easily feel the enthusiasm of the operators. They provide song and dance and equestrian performances, as well as a series of water activities.
If you can tolerate the unpleasant smell of the horse farm and accept the charges for individual activities, you might be able to spend half a day in this spacious area. The locals will tell you that this is the martial arts training ground of Hua Mulan. You can take the dedicated bus from Qianchuan to Mulan Prairie. There is also a dedicated bus from Mulan Lake to Mulan Prairie.
