Benhuan Highway: Starting from Jianchang Town, Benxi, Liaoning in the west and ending at Muyunzi Town, Huanren in the east, with a total length of 64.82 kilometers.
Recommended route: Benxi → Xiaoshi → Benhuan Highway → Turn right at Jianchang gas station → Dashilh Lake Scenic Area → Laobian Gou → Back to Benheng Highway → Tianshifu → Nandian → Jianchang → Dongyingfang Township → Yanghugou
Best season: Late September to late October
Here, you can drive on the “China Maple Leaf Avenue” – Benhuan Highway. There are large and small scenic spots known for their red leaves along this maple viewing avenue.
2、Benxi·Maple Photography Road
Recommended route: Shenyang → Benxi Water Cave → Guanmen Mountain → Tanggou Lushishi Valley → Shenyang
Best season: Late September to late October
In Benxi in autumn, besides the most famous Benhuan Highway, you can also take this route: Benxi Water Cave + Guanmen Mountain + Tanggou Lushishi Valley.
Along this route, you will marvel at the wonders of nature at the Water Cave; admire the vibrant colors at Guanmen Mountain; and experience the ethereal beauty of Tanggou Lushishi Valley, where clouds and mist dance… It’s a journey of pure aesthetic pleasure.
3、Dandong·Ginkgo Avenue
Recommended route: Dandong Liuweilu → Jiuweilu → Qijing Street
Best season: Late October to early November
Dandong, the “Ginkgo City”, has nearly 40 ginkgo avenues; among them, there are 3 centuries-old ginkgo avenues, the number and scale of which rank first in the world.
4、Liaoning Circum-Bohai Sea Coastal Highway
Liaoning Circum-Bohai Sea Coastal Highway: Starting from Dandong, passing through Dalian, Yingkou, Panjin, Jinzhou, and ending at Huludao in the west, with a total length of over 1440 kilometers.
Best time for Red Beach: Mid-September to mid-October
If there’s a place in Liaoning where you can experience beautiful mountains, clear waters, green trees, blue skies, sandy beaches, and islands, it must be the Coastal Highway.
This road not only connects 6 stunning coastal cities in Liaoning, but also links 133 tourist attractions;
Famous attractions like Dandong Tiger Mountain Great Wall, Yalu River Bridge, Dalian Bangchui Island, Yingkou Moon Bay, Liaohe River Super Bridge… are all along the way.
5、Dantong-Tonghua Expressway
Dandong to Tonghua Expressway: Starting from Xin Kailing, the border between Liaoning and Jilin, and ending at Guchengzi Interchange, Zhen’an District, Dandong.
Viewing platforms along the way: Toudaogou, Dachuantou Town; Laodaopang, Shihugou Township; Mayiling, Dongtang Town; Wulongshan, Wulongbei Town.
Best autumn viewing time: Mid-October
This road is known as the “Most Beautiful Expressway in Liaoning”, and almost every traveler is amazed by the scenery along the way.
This road passes through the stunning south foot of Changbai Mountain, connecting: Wunü Mountain, Goguryeo Ancient Tombs, Huangyi Mountain National Forest Park and many other famous scenic spots.
Driving on this road, green mountains, forests, farmlands, accompany you all the way, like traveling through a gallery.
