East Lake Scenic Area is a national 5A tourist attraction. The whole East Lake is very large and there are many great places to have fun. For a newcomer, you might be lost and don’t know where to start. Today, the editor will recommend some ways to have a good time at East Lake. Let’s check it out with the editor!
1. Travel Guide
When you visit East Lake, you must first look at the map or navigation, because there are too many entrances and exits, and you may reach an entrance where few people go. Here are some entrances: Liyuan Square, East Lake Scenic Village, Happy Avenue Jiu Nv Dun, Luoyan Scenic Area entrance, Moshan Scenic Area, East Lake Tunnel entrance, Wuhan Botanical Garden, East Lake Dali Village, East Lake Qing Shan entrance, etc. Therefore, tourists from other places or students in Wuhan who have never been there, must plan their route in advance, otherwise, you will be exhausted after a day of sightseeing.
For self-driving tourists, you must know the distribution and number of parking lots, because some places do not allow vehicles to pass, and when you encounter a tourist peak season, parking is often difficult to find. The largest parking lots for self-driving trips are the Liyuan Square Parking Lot and the Chufeng Garden Parking Lot. During the peak tourist season, there will not be enough parking spaces, and there will be serious traffic jams near Liyuan, you can park your car in the surrounding parking lots and then walk in.
Here, we will mainly talk about the walking tour strategy: In general, you will choose to take a bus or taxi to the vicinity of Yinghua Garden, where the scenery along the way is very beautiful. You can choose to go to Mei Yuan, Yinghua Garden, or other scenic spots, they are all close to each other. After entering Yinghua Garden (it seems that you need tickets during the peak tourist season), you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms everywhere.
There is a path behind Yinghua Garden that leads up the mountain, that mountain is part of Moshan. You can choose to walk around Moshan or walk down the mountain to the Moshan branch of East Lake Greenway, or you can choose to take the cable car or the thing that slides down the mountain (it seems to be called a volcano skateboard), but these two methods require a fee.
After getting off, you can go to the left or right on East Lake Greenway. It is recommended to go to the left. The right side is generally a place for cycling along the lake, there are fewer tourists than the left side and it is not as fun as the left side.
However, friends who love cycling can go to the right side, ride a shared bicycle and ride at high speed. But also pay attention to safety, because there are a lot of people riding here.
The whole East Lake Greenway is very suitable for people who love cycling, because after the tourist gathering area, which is the area where you can take a boat just mentioned, it is the time for you to enjoy the pleasure of cycling. Ride all the way and enjoy the beautiful scenery. But pay attention, because the road is very long and there are many branch roads, try to follow the places with more people, otherwise, it is easy to get lost. For people who like to take photos and go on spring outings, it is enough to bring some things and walk around the lawn. Because you will be exhausted just by walking around there.
