Tiantai Mountain in Sichuan belongs to the Qionglai Mountains and is located in Qionglai City, known as the “Hometown of Wenjun,” one of the four ancient cities in Bashu and a Chinese city of excellence in tourism. It is 110 kilometers away from Chengdu. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for Giant Panda Habitat, a National Scenic Area, a National 4A Tourist Area, and a National Forest Park. The scenic area covers 106 square kilometers, with its main peak, Yuxiao Peak, reaching 1,812 meters above sea level, resembling a towering platform reaching for the sky.

“Playing with water in the mountains” is Tiantai Mountain’s characteristic tourism brand. The higher the mountain, the longer the water, showcasing Tiantai Mountain’s romantic spirit of “flowing water in the mountains.” More than ten water-related activities at scenic spots such as the Eighteen-Mile Herb Valley, Little Jiuzhai, and Huashi Sea allow you to experience the refreshing comfort brought by nature, coming into close contact with Tiantai Mountain’s crystal-clear springs and mountain water during the sweltering summer. The dense virgin forests take you back to the tranquil and simple nature from the hustle and bustle of the world. The rolling hills and uniquely shaped peaks and rocks allow you to experience the beauty and wonder of Tiantai Mountain. The ruins of one hundred and eight temples and the legend of the Monk’s Yamen showcase the past glory and historical vicissitudes of Tiantai Mountain.
