1、Wangshun Mountain in Lantian
Wangshun Mountain Forest Park is located in Lantian, Xi’an. It features towering peaks, strange rocks, deep valleys, and sparkling pools, making it a great place to enjoy the natural beauty of Xi’an and escape the summer heat.
Driving route: Take the Xi’an-Lantian Expressway and exit at Lantian. Follow National Highway 312 south to the foot of the mountain. You can also take the mountain road. The total distance from Xi’an is about 60 kilometers, and it takes about 1 hour.
2、Tayuanshan Mountain in Zhen’an
Shaanxi Province, Shangluo City
Located between Songbai and Donggua Townships, 40 kilometers west of Zhen’an County, Tayuanshan Mountain stands tall, resembling a towering iron tower. The mountain is shrouded in mist and colorful clouds, resembling a celestial palace, hence its name, “Tayuanshan,” which means “Towering Cloud Mountain.”
At the top of Tayuanshan Mountain, three sides are suspended over a thousand-foot abyss. It is known as the “Pillar of Qin and Chu, the Summit Temple.”
Driving route: Xi’an (Baomao Expressway G65) — 110 kilometers — Zhen’an — Momo Road — 28 kilometers — Tayuanshan Mountain. One-way journey takes about 185 kilometers and 3 hours 20 minutes.
3、Liping National Forest Park in Nan Zheng
Located in the heart of the Dabashan Mountains on the Sichuan-Shaanxi border, in Nan Zheng County, the park mainly features forest, landform, water, modern cultural, and rural landscapes, combining mountains, forests, and rocks. It is renowned for its secret Liping, the first mountain and water in South Shaanxi, the strange stone forest, and the paradise of blue waters.
Driving route: Xi’an (Jingkun Expressway G5) — 272 kilometers — Hanzhong (S211) — 17 kilometers — Qingshu (X312) — 15 kilometers — Lianghe (X311) — 38 kilometers — Yuanba (Liping National Forest Park). One-way journey takes about 342 kilometers and 6 hours 30 minutes.
