Xiapu Mudflats Self-driving Tour Guide: The Most Beautiful Mudflats in China

Xiapu Mudflats are known as the most beautiful mudflats in China. The natural scenery here is very magical, attracting a large number of tourists to travel and sightsee every year, satisfying your curiosity and sense of wonder. Here is a self-driving tour guide to Xiapu Mudflats.

A few years ago, I had no idea that the “most beautiful mudflats in China” were in my hometown – Xiapu, and that they were so close to the city.

So, visiting the most beautiful mudflats became a small but persistent concern of mine.

On August 10th, as soon as I arrived at my classmate’s house, I declared that I wanted to go to the mudflats. After my classmate made inquiries, we decided to take a trip to Beizaki Beach, one of the most beautiful mudflat photography spots.

In the morning, the sun was shining brightly. However, it started raining in the afternoon, and the rain became heavier and heavier. But I still insisted, “No matter how heavy the rain is, as long as the driver can drive, I want to go. Maybe the misty beach will be even more beautiful. And I believe in my luck. When we get there, it won’t be raining anymore. You’ll see.”

Seeing how resolute I was, my classmate agreed, “If that’s the case, let’s go to the beach in the rain. Aqing, you’re really a determined person, rain or shine.”

My boast was true. When we got to the beach, the rain was already much lighter. We were about to wait in the car a little longer, but everyone got out of the car before me and ran towards the beach.

The mudflats, the most beautiful mudflats in China, the mudflats I had dreamed of for so long, I finally arrived. Sadly, it was after the rain.

The Feeling of Time Travel

Doesn’t it feel like a black and white photograph? It’s like we’ve gone back to ancient times. The silent fishing boat is moored on the mudflats, like a quiet virgin, incredibly beautiful…

Just after taking a few photos with my camera, I suddenly remembered something: Maybe my classmate, Hua’er’s Xiaomi 3 can shoot panoramic views. I’ve seen panoramic photos taken with iPhones, they are quite impressive. Should we give it a try?

Hearing that her phone could shoot panoramic views, Hua’er was very surprised. “Panoramic view? I don’t know about that. Go ahead and take pictures if you want.”

The distant fishing boats and mountains are so hazy, enveloped in mist. The gods must live on those mountains, right?

In this way, I started my funny pose: a Xiaomi 3 phone in my left hand and a Casio digital camera in my right, truly a combination of tiredness and happiness.

The Xiaomi 3 is really great. It can not only shoot panoramic views but also has a very high pixel count – 13 million pixels, far exceeding my digital camera.

Although I didn’t get to see the colorful, dazzling, picturesque beauty of the mudflats, the misty mudflats after the rain still captivated me.

Hua’er and the others had already gone off to who knows where. I was busy taking pictures with my “dual-machine” system, eager to capture this rare beauty of the post-rain scenery.

The faint mist adds an indescribable beauty to the distant mountains, inspiring imagination and allowing one’s thoughts to soar with the lens…

Perhaps this is the legendary misty mudflats? Unfortunately, due to limitations in my skills and equipment, I can’t capture its true beauty!

Don’t these masts look like the staff lines of a giant piano played by the sea? Is it they who play those incredible melodies every day, whether the tide is high or low?

The beach is just as beautiful.

Crab, my son caught another crab!

Crab!

The most beautiful mudflats, I’m finally here. I want to embrace you with all my strength.

Hua’er’s child found a large clam.

My son is intently waiting for the crab to come out of its hole.

The sand shovel I picked up by the roadside has finally found its purpose. I dug and dug, are there treasures underneath the sand?

The sand is as clean as freshly washed, incredibly fine, soft underfoot, and very springy…

The Xiaomi 3 is still the best. Let’s take some more panoramic pictures.

It’s getting late. Another classmate has been urging us to go home for dinner. Let’s go back.

The mudflats under the afterglow are so romantic and gentle, you don’t want to disrupt its tranquility!

Wow, seashells! So many seashells! We were so excited, like we had discovered a new world, picking up seashells on the reef.

Dreamlike mudflats, dreamlike fishing boats, beautiful, beautiful, intoxicated, intoxicated…

We reluctantly left, looking back every few steps. Beizaki – one of the most beautiful mudflat photography bases in Xiapu.
