When I first went to Yantai for university, the buses on this route were very old. Later, they were renovated but were once converted to single-deckers, and they lost their highlights.

Later, this route, I don’t know who pointed it out, was replaced with brand new double-deckers, and it got a romantic name – Love in 17 (together). It was the most romantic and cheapest (normal bus price) coastal sightseeing bus I have ever seen.

Take “Love Together” outside peak hours and enjoy the coastal scenery of Yantai along the way. It passes Yantai Railway Station, Yantai Port, Seafood Market, Yantai Mountain, Bathing Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier, Moon Bay, East Fortress, Yellow Sea Pearl, etc., beautiful scenery within reach.

Yantai is a low-key city. When I first arrived in Yantai, Yantai Railway Station was still the old station that had been used for fifty years. It was dark yellow and dilapidated. It wasn’t until 2008 that the new station with a throughput capacity that was a hundred times that of the old station was built. Later, in order to expand the transportation network, the Qingyanwei Intercity High-speed Railway was built. The developed transportation network gave Yantai unlimited development space. Yantai is constantly developing, but it is a city with a slower pace of life. The whole city may only have a little traffic jam on a few main roads during the Chinese New Year. Yantai at night also has ideal places to go. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, you should go to Chaoyang Street. The neon lights here are not very dazzling.
