National Day is just around the corner, and you must have been thinking about where to go for the 7-day holiday. Some popular tourist cities in China are always crowded during National Day, and the experience is not very good. However, there are also some less crowded, fun, and unique places to visit in China. Yinchuan is a good choice.
Day 1
Yinchuan—Shahu Lake—Suidonggou—Yinchuan
Attraction 1: Shahu Lake (including large boat and electric car)
Take a bus to 【Shahu Lake】, known as “The Miracle of Water Surrounding Sand Dunes”, in the morning. It takes about 1 hour to travel 60 kilometers from Yinchuan to Shahu Lake. The tour will take about 3 hours. Upon arriving at Shahu Lake Scenic Area, take a large boat to reach the desert area from the lake area and then return at the same time and place. Day 2

Take a bus to Zhongwei in the morning. It takes about 3 hours to travel 220 kilometers from Yinchuan to Zhongwei.
Attraction 1: Shapotou
After lunch, take a bus to 【Shapotou】 and start your unforgettable desert revelry. The journey will take about 30 minutes, and the tour will take about 4 hours. Shapotou is divided into two zones: the south and the north. The south zone, the Yellow River zone, offers a spectacular combination of desert and Yellow River. Take a bus to 【Western Xia Tombs】 in the morning. It takes about 1 hour to travel 60 kilometers from Yinchuan to the Western Xia Tombs, and the tour will take about 2 hours. After arriving at the scenic area, visit the museum and the No. 3 tomb in sequence.
Attraction 2: Helan Mountain Rock Paintings (including electric car)
After that, visit the 【Helan Mountain Rock Paintings】. It takes about 30 minutes to travel 30 kilometers from the Western Xia Tombs to the Helan Mountain Rock Paintings, and the tour will take about 2 hours. The tour guide will lead travelers to the Rock Painting Museum and the mouth of the Helan Mountain for field investigation.
Attraction 3: Town of North Fortress Western Movie City
