Many cities in Jiangsu province are great destinations for tourism, and Xuzhou is no exception. The scenery right outside your door is breathtaking. So, how do you plan a one-day trip in Xuzhou? Below, we’ve compiled several travel itineraries for you. Let’s take a look!
Itinerary One
Schedule
Morning: Guishan Scenic Area Afternoon: Xuzhou Museum Evening: Yunlong Lake
First stop: Guishan Scenic Area:
The Guishan Scenic Area is far from the city center, and the morning sun is best for exploring the mountains. Tickets need to be pre-ordered online a day in advance. They are now divided into morning and afternoon sessions, and you can refund them at any time. It is recommended that you book tickets in advance! The ticket is a package ticket, including the Guishan Han Tomb, the Imperial Edict Museum, and the Dianshiyuan. You can visit them in order, and it will take about half a day to finish.
1 Guishan Han Tomb
The highlight of the tomb is the straight tomb passage, which can be illuminated with lasers. The red laser beams shine from the inside to the exit. Upon entering the house, there is a model of the overall layout of the tomb, as well as the display of the original burial mound landform. The walkway where visitors walk is excavated according to the original form, and the passage is particularly narrow and low. Many rooms display excavated artifacts, kitchens, armories, chariot and horse stables, all with many things. There is also a front hall in the room where the coffin is placed, which is the highest part of the entire tomb. It is very spacious and the coffin is placed. I don’t know if it is real or a copy. There are also introductions to spooky stories on the wall. This kind of primitive tomb, when you go inside, your mind is full of Ghost Blows Out the Light plots, and it really feels creepy staying in the room. It’s worth a visit!
2 Imperial Edict Museum
The Imperial Edict Museum is the only imperial edict museum in the country, and it displays real imperial edicts. You can see that the calligraphy skills are indeed superb. The exhibition halls are not large, and you can browse them in about twenty minutes. You can buy some commemorative postcards at the entrance.
3 Dianshiyuan
The garden is much bigger than I imagined, it’s a complete garden, and every corner of the garden is dotted with stone statues, there are also many giant stone statues, which are very impressive.
Second stop: Xuzhou Museum:
The fastest way to get to know a city is to visit its city museum. Xuzhou has rich historical relics from the Han Dynasty, with exhibits including numerous artifacts excavated from ancient tombs, various pottery figures, tomb guardians, etc. There is also a large portion of jade articles for burial, such as the jade garments and jade face masks worn by the tomb owner, as well as various jade pendants and jade belts carried with them. The Xuzhou Museum is located at the foot of Yunlong Mountain, on the original site of the palace where Emperor Qianlong stayed during his southern tour in 1757. To the southwest of the museum are the ruins of the Western Han Dynasty quarry, to the southeast are the Qianlong Palace and the Stele Garden, and to the north is the Dongshan Han Tomb of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Just to say that you can see the gold-threaded jade garment, silver-threaded jade garment and copper-threaded jade garment at once, which is enough to make any artifact lover ecstatic.
Third stop: Yunlong Lake:
Yunlong Lake is located in the center of the city, with Yunlong Mountain to the east, Zhushan to the south, Xiaochang Mountain and Woniushan to the west. The scenic area has vast lakes, verdant mountains. The Xuzhou City Concert Hall on the lake, a modern landmark building. Yunlong Lake is the most beautiful scenery in winter, the reflection of trees and buildings on the lake, through the deep blue lake water, reflects a painting. Now is the best time to watch birds, birds flying back and forth make spring sounds. Bring your camera, any photo you take is a great shot.

Located in Kuai Zhai Ting Park on Jiefang Road in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province. Kuai Zhai Ting was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, originally named Yangchun Ting, and was renamed because Su Shi, the prefect of Xuzhou at that time, wrote the “Kuai Zhai Ting Gang Fu” in this pavilion. Located in the city center, although it doesn’t look big from the entrance, once you step inside, you’ll find it’s a different world. There are pavilions, flowers, ponds, etc., in the city center where every inch of land is expensive, it is rare to have such a piece of land where you can relax and unwind. The most common people in the park are the elderly, young people are rarely seen, but actually, after visiting the surrounding skyscrapers, it is quite a pleasant thing to come here and sit down.
Third stop: Huilongwo Historical and Cultural Street District:
Huilongwo is an ancient street district with a quaint charm, the combination of stone pavements and ancient buildings is a bit like Yangzhou Dongguan Street, Zhenjiang Xijin Ferry~ various flowers and plants crowded into the small alley, the new copper sculptures are also full of charm. Each shop is quietly waiting for the next customer’s whim to look back. Take your camera, bring one or two friends, and capture the years of your youth. There is beauty everywhere here, whether it’s the reflection on the bluestone floor or a red flower in the corner of the alley, it’s a great place to take pictures. At three o’clock in the afternoon, it’s nice to sit lazily by the window bathed in sunshine, holding a cup of freshly hand-brewed coffee, watching people come and go, just daydreaming. Huibusan is even more beautiful at night, the lights add a more charming allure to the alley. Walk into a restaurant, order a hearty dinner to reward yourself for a tiring day, laugh and chat with friends, enjoy food is also to enjoy life. There are often performances, it is lively to visit Huilongwo at night to stroll.
