I. Wangshun Mountain, Lantian
Wangshun Mountain Forest Park is located in Lantian, Xi’an. It has towering peaks, rugged rocks, deep valleys and clear ponds. It is a good place to enjoy the natural scenery around Xi’an and escape the summer heat.
Wangshun Mountain is located behind Saiyu, Lantian County, and was formerly known as Yushan. The main peak, Yuhuangding, is over 2200 meters above sea level. It is also the origin of Lantian jade. Many of the jade seals of Chinese emperors were made from jade mined here.
Self-driving route: Take the Xi’an-Lantian Expressway and exit at Lantian. Take National Highway 312 south to the foot of the mountain. You can also take the mountain road. The total distance from Xi’an is about 60 kilometers, and it takes about 1 hour.
II. Tayun Mountain, Zhen’an

Located between Songbai and Donggua townships, 40 kilometers west of Zhen’an County, Tayun Mountain stands tall and resembles an iron tower. This mountain peak is shrouded in clouds and mist, with colorful clouds everywhere, making it seem like a celestial palace. Therefore, it is called Tayun Mountain.

III. Liping National Forest Park, Nancheng
Located in Nancheng County, in the heart of the Dabashan Mountains on the border of Sichuan and Shaanxi, it mainly features forest landscapes, landform landscapes, water landscapes, modern humanistic landscapes and pastoral landscapes, combining mountain, forest and stone landscapes. It is known as the “Secret Realm Liping”, “The First Mountain and Water in Southern Shaanxi”, “Stone Forest Wonderland” and “Bishui Paradise”.

IV. Hukou Waterfall

V. Longzhou Wave Valley, Jingbian
Jingbian County, Yulin City
There is a little-known Danxia landform scenic spot in Longzhou Township, Jingbian County, Yulin City – Wave Valley. Here, the red sandstone has been exposed to the world due to the long-term crustal movement, revealing a strange and beautiful landscape, which is a great place for photography tours.
Wave Valley is a magical world sculpted by wind, water and time over millions of years. The complex layers of the Wave Valley rocks are made up of huge sand dunes that began to accumulate 150 million years ago in the Jurassic period. The sand dunes were continuously covered by layers of red sand soaked in groundwater. Over time, the minerals in the water solidified the sand into sandstone, forming a layered structure.

Drive north on Baomao Expressway for 5 hours and exit at Jingbian South Service Area. Drive east for about 20 kilometers to reach the destination. The whole journey is about 450 kilometers, and it takes about 6 hours.
VI. Zhouzhi Water Street
Zhouzhi County, Xi’an

VII. Yinghu Lake, Ankang
Yinghu Lake is located 18 kilometers southwest of Ankang City. It is the largest freshwater lake in the five northwestern provinces formed by the Ankang Hydropower Station. It covers an area of 77.8 square kilometers.
