1、Dinghu Mountain
Dinghu Mountain is located in the northeast of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, 18 kilometers away from the urban area of Zhaoqing. It consists of more than 10 mountains with a total area of 11.33 square kilometers.
Dinghu Mountain is known as the first of the four famous mountains in Lingnan because it is a scenic spot integrating sightseeing, scientific research, and religious pilgrimage.
The origin of the name Dinghu Mountain is controversial. Some say that it is named after a lake on the top of the mountain, which is never dry throughout the year; others say that it is named after the round and beautiful middle peak, with three branches at the foot of the mountain. Looking from afar, it looks like a tripod, hence the name Dinghu; there is also a folk legend that the Yellow Emperor bestowed a tripod here, so it is commonly called Dinghu Mountain.
The negative ion content is the highest in the country, and it enjoys the reputation of “Natural Big Oxygen Bar”.
Dinghu Mountain preserves the original secondary forest of the subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest in the zonal area with a history of more than 400 years. It has 2,500 species of higher plants, 327 species of animals, and 980 species of insects. Among them, there are 32 species of nationally protected wild animals and 23 species of nationally protected wild plants. It is a gene bank of biodiversity in South China, and is known as the “Green Gemstone on the Tropic of Cancer”.
2、Qixingyan Scenic Area
Qixingyan is located in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. The scenic area covers a total area of 8.23 square kilometers. It is named after the seven karst peaks that are arranged like the seven stars of the Big Dipper in the sky. It mainly consists of peaks, caves, lakes, inscriptions, temples and pagodas.
It is known as the “First Wonder of Lingnan”. The cliff inscriptions in the scenic area are the most numerous and concentrated cliff inscriptions in Lingnan.
The main scenic spots include Shuiyueyan Cloud, Xingyan Spring Dawn, Tianzhu Picking Stars, Xingyan Misty Rain, Yuping Overlapping Green, Millennium Poetry Corridor, Forest Fun in Water, Sleeping Buddha Swallowing Dan, Xianhe Showing Auspiciousness, Stone Cave Ancient Temple, etc.
3、Panlongxia Eco-tourism Area
Panlongxia Eco-tourism Area is located in the northwest of Deqing County, Guangdong Province, about 28 kilometers from the county seat. The entire eco-tourism area covers an area of 30,000 mu. It is a primitive natural eco-tourism area with lush ancient trees.
The national second-class protected plant black tree fern is distributed throughout the area, and it is the shooting base of the Guangdong Photographers Association.
The negative ion content in the canyon air reaches 1.25 billion per cubic meter, making it the largest natural oxygen bank in South China.
Panlongxia Eco-tourism Area, with its unique natural ecological resources such as mountains, water, and forests, has successfully developed eco-leisure tourism products such as brave rafting, waterfall sightseeing, canyon oxygen absorption, the largest water wheel group in China, the most charming mountaintop wooden house resort in China, the lavender wooden house kingdom hotel, Panlong Paradise Resort Hotel, high-altitude zipline, forest water world, etc.
4、Zhaoqing Paifang Park
Paifang Park is located on Lianhu West Road, Duanzhou District, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. Every early spring, the pear trees in Paifang Park are covered with white pear blossoms.
5、Mei’an
Mei’an is located in the western suburbs of Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. It is a famous ancient temple in Duanzhou, renowned for its unique architectural art in Lingnan. It was built in the second year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty (996 AD), and has a history of more than 1,000 years.
It is known as the “Thousand-year-old Ancient Temple, a National Treasure”. On November 20, 1996, Mei’an was declared a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.
