I’ve never been out of the country to play before, and the sea is my favorite place, so this time we didn’t choose a popular place for our trip abroad. I was worried that there would be too many people, like dumplings, and it wouldn’t be fun. This time our destination is Montego Bay, Jamaica. After breakfast, we were eagerly waiting for the elevator, ready to go to our room and grab our gear to go snorkeling. Suddenly, a chubby aunt in uniform appeared from somewhere, smiling at us. The first thing she said was to ask us when we were leaving. When we said we were leaving in three days, on Saturday, she asked us if we had any children. We were all quite puzzled.

When she knew we were only two, she suddenly threw us a fragrant, giant pie: The sister hotel next door, Secret St. James, is holding an experience event. Would you like to move there? The conditions there are much better than here in every way.

We calmly and happily said, “Sure,” our hearts already flying to outer space. You know, we did a lot of research before we came. St. James is definitely five stars, and it’s 50% more expensive than the Sunscape’s four-star AI!

We were holding this big pie, continuing our more colorful life in Jamaica, with scenery that would make you envious.

The environment of this resort is definitely beyond reproach, the landscaping is gorgeous. When we first arrived at Sunscape, we thought that maybe this wasn’t a tourist destination, so the resort decoration was different from the Marriott Resort I stayed at in Hawaii. Now I know, it’s because I was unwilling to spend money…

St. James’ lush trees, colorful flowers, and carefully designed fountains completely outshine Hawaii. What makes it even more infuriating is that they actually keep giant, colorful macaws, a pair! There are even peacocks wandering around the garden, you heard right! Plus a few elusive cute cats. Is this a dog-torturing scenario?

So, it turns out they didn’t spare any expense, they gave us a total of ten VIP rooms that were picked up from the hotel next door. VIP rooms can enjoy a private beach, private pool, and even a dedicated restaurant.

Americans generally judge the quality of a resort by the quality of service, and the Jamaican service staff here is simply amazing.

After checking in at the front desk, the guy took our luggage directly to our room door. As soon as I opened the door, wow, what a great house!

The room is decorated in an antique style, the bed has bedposts at the four corners, giving it a low-key yet luxurious feel. The bed is neatly laid out with two bathrobes and two beach towels. The small balcony inside has a comfortable sofa and a round table.

And outside the full glass window, there is a VIP room exclusive pool. The shower toilet in the bathroom, the big bathtub, are all independent, very convenient. Next to the sink, there are three small towels tied together with ribbon, with a bow, every detail is very thoughtful.

From the balcony glass doors, you can see the bright blue pool outside, and the sea in the distance. Outside the glass door, trees are specially planted to protect privacy.

Here, the beautiful white sandy beaches stretch endlessly, making it a great place to vacation. Then look at the rooms you want to book: enter the hotel name into tripadvisor (TripAdvisor), you can see real room photos in other people’s pictures, you won’t be fooled. I think the reviews in there are worth a look, but don’t rely too much on subjective reviews like the room is too small, the service is particularly bad, the food is not good to eat. Everyone’s evaluation of the size of the room is relative; no one wants you, a tourist, to be uncomfortable; the food, look at the photos, it’s more real than other people’s text.

Speaking of eating: then specific data you need to look at the travel agency or official website: First look at the variety and number of formal restaurants (la carte restaurant). Every AI resort will have a buffet, so just look at other people’s posts for that.

Other issues to consider:

1. Children’s play items, some hotels provide small children, and children’s play clubs. So those with children are best to choose this kind of AI hotel, pay attention to age: for example, some hotels write “Applicable Ages: 3 to 12 years old”, which means children aged 13-15 are not allowed to play.

2. In what country? This is not usually a problem, because you spend most of your time at the hotel, there are one or two attractions outside is enough, not necessarily famous tourist attractions.
