The Chengjiang Fossil Site is China’s first and Asia’s only fossil-related World Heritage Site. It is the core area where the Chengjiang Biota fossils are preserved. The Chengjiang Fossil Site World Natural Heritage Museum collects more than 60,000 precious collections from various geological periods in China and around the world, including 50,000 Chengjiang biofossils, 10,000 fossils from other geological periods and specimens of living animals.

2nd floor The Grand Evolution of Life:

The course of life evolution

By displaying fossil specimens from all over the world and from various geological periods, it tells the epic story of life evolution with the five major extinction events as the clue, introducing the long and magnificent course of life evolution on Earth.

3rd floor Biodiversity:

The many faces of life

Through 8 classic scenes, it displays more than 300 wild animal specimens from North America and Africa, presenting a glimpse of biodiversity.
